Hot....sunny....lots of action on the Lake....
Hope you enjoy the pics from last weekend...
We certainly enjoyed ourselves...!
I can't wait to make a small nosegay with them for the sunporch this weekend...
They smell so beautiful....do you grow Sweet Peas??? Do you have Perennials??
I scored 2 Ferns at Walmart...for $9.99 each...
I just knew they would be perfect for the Kitchen porch...
And for the Sunporch...and gee...look at that...they are perfect!
I take them down when leaving...and pamper them in a shaded spot...
Give them a good drink before I hang them back up for the weekend...
It was still wood, so we had the few walls sided in a board & batten design...
I had picked a lovely blue...{what else is new?}...but was unavailable...
So...we went with the Linen colour....same as the cottage...looks pretty good ,eh??
The floor is still under discussion...not worried right now...
We just love our screened sunporch!♥️
The sky and clouds were awesome...
Must have been some pretty heavy rainstorms somewhere...
But not in our wee piece of heaven...
Sunshine from sunrise to sunset...
Gorgeous....
The sunset was reflecting off the clouds...
Onto the lake...
Just beautiful evenings...
Tree basket doing well....Cleomes should be blooming soon...
Deep blue Salvia is a hummingbird magnet down on the beach deck...
Blue Lobelia is flourishing in the planter on my garden shed...
Sharing space with some white Impatience and Nasturtiums...
Hostas starting to send up some Flower Spikes....
I love adding these to my weekend arrangements as well....
So....
These were just a few of the pics I took this weekend...
Oh...the one of me???
Not a selfie this time...
Boyfriend caught me!
Enjoying the late afternoon sun...
On the beach deck ♥️
Hope you all had a great day...
And to my Canadian friends...a great Canada day...
The rain held off for us....but very hot...
We all had fun with Miss V...she just loves her aunts and uncles ♥️
Found a pork tenderloin in the freezer...
Sliced in rounds...marinating in worcheshire and ground black pepper...
Quick grill...serve with mushrooms, potatoes and fresh asparagus...
Enjoy the rest of your day and evening...
Cheers! :o)

Sounds as though it was another banner weekend for you Linda!!! The potted ferns are lovely and very Martha Stewart don't you know! She has hanging ferns on her porch!! (sorry, I know that it is sad that I know that!!). Dinner sounds delicious! xx
ReplyDeleteJust call me Martha! hahaha!
DeleteBeautiful pics dear like always:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful feet???
DeleteWell thanks Gloria...I think!
I love the basket with flowers and your
ReplyDeleteFeets look beauty:)
beautiful photos and look at you all tanned and lovely!!
ReplyDeleteWell thanks Laurie....I do love the sun!
DeleteVery nice photos and as always, you look
ReplyDeletepretty as ever. Have a great weekend and boogie boogie.
You too Ivy...boogie boogie!
DeleteWonderful photos, this is the sort of thing I should be doing for summer, relaxing and sorting out dinner and being with nature, instead of writing at my computer!
ReplyDeletePS you look beautifully tanned
Why thanks....you have a tan all year!
DeleteWow...what a tan. You look great. Glad you had a nice weekend. As of today things have slowed down for me as far as cat-sitting so I am going to take some 'me' time now. A pedicure is on the top of the list. Maybe my toes will look as good as yours. :) Sweet-peas are one of my all-time favorite flowers. I have a nice photo of me and my dog somewhere with the most beautiful sweet-peas in the background. I should dig that up and show it off. Have a great evening, Linda. Loved your photos as always.
ReplyDeleteThanks...go get that pedi! You earned it Deb♥️
DeleteYes...look for that photo...
Such wonderful shots in your last few posts, Linda. Glorious, vibrant colour. Makes me smile. And the water. Ahhhhhhh. So beautiful and I love the sunset-tinged clouds mirrored in the water. I am addicted to sitting beside water. What a pretty colour on your deck. I am glad you had a good Canada Day – I did too. Don’t we have a great flag? You might enjoy this tongue-in-cheek song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fe_jLPF2k3Q I think it’s quite fun!
ReplyDeleteYes..it is a nice place , eh Suza?
DeleteWe do have a great flag...indeed!
Will check out that video later...
I don't have perennial sweet peas, but do have the annual ones, right now they seem to be all leaves and stems, hope some lovely blooms appear. Your baskets are looking great. I've just been out and watered all the containers, usually do it in the mornings but they are drying out quickly with this heat.
ReplyDeleteI watered just before dinner...supposed to get rain...nothin'!
DeleteAs always a great collection of piccies, from the lake .. .. . love sweet peas, lovely collection of photographs, yet another pair of flip flops, and the b/f getting yoiu to smile on camera ROFL . . . . congratulations b/f . . . . . lol.
ReplyDeleteI am just back from a long day working in a garden - tonoght playing bonfies.
Hi Eddie...
DeleteHope you didn't work too too hard...
I have oodles of flip flops!! In every shade of the rainbow!
What the heck is "bonfies"?
A Bonfire is a fire lit to burn brushwood and unwanted rubbish - I'll send an email.
DeleteAnd you are a poet - that line was very poetic on my latest post.
Oodles of flip fops lol
If you put them on the wrong way round would they be flop flips ?
I never wirk too hard - I always pace myself lol
You wrote "bonfies".....of course I know what a bonfire is......silly!
DeleteYou really should check your spelling...ha!.....thought it was a British "thing"!
I thought you might have another word for it over there.
DeleteMe and my typos!!
Thank you for returning from the cottage especially to comment on my zoo post . . . . lovely to see you but as for the day itself, it could not be improved . . . . unleess you were there of course . . . lol . :)
Deletei think the color is perfect in the porch!
ReplyDeleteand that is such a lovely shot of you.
i think your boyfriend is probably smitten! LOL.
XOXO
I think so too Tammy....I just thought the blue would make it more like a "room".....
DeleteBoyfriend not smitten....but...he puts up with me!
It was a wonderful weekend wasn't it? The weather was lovely ! I do like your screen porch . Supper sounds YUMMY ! I do like the photo of you very pretty ! Thanks for sharing wonderful post and photos ! Have a good evening !
ReplyDeleteIt was Elaine....hoping for more of the same this weekend...
DeleteThe screened porch is almost the best part of the cottage.....the lake takes the cake!
Sweet peas have always been one of my favorites. Love them! But don't have any. Sometimes I stop alongside the road to pick a few though.
ReplyDeleteI have purple Lobelia in my garden flanking my cilantro, which is looking mighty nice right about now.
Your photo is beautiful.
:0)
They are sweet,eh?
DeleteI could save you some seeds in the Fall...
Love Lobelia....so delicate and BLUE!
Thanks about the photo♥️
Wow, you sure got your money's worth out of those Walmart ferns!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Debra! They are perfect!
DeleteOur Canada day was a hot one as well. I got burnt!
ReplyDeleteSweet Peas are my most favourite flower ever in the whole wide world. My nana used to grow them and send them home with anyone who visited.
What a lovely memory Birdie...
DeleteSo happy to see you!
That shot of the evening light on the lake is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jessica...when the Moon reflects, it is even MORE beautiful!
DeleteThat screened in porch must come in handy!! Love the colour. We had a tremendous amount of rain yesterday and I think they are calling for more today. No watering for this girl.
ReplyDeleteWe got 5 drops....big black clouds keep coming, and the wind picks up...but no rain...
DeleteHope the cottage got some!
Can't imagine why my brother has gone gallivanting off to Florida, it all looks perfect with you.
ReplyDeleteOh well...I am sure the beaches are lovely this time of year....
Deletegreat pics. how do you know so much about flowers? those ferns look fantastic. can i grow ferns in my small apartment? are they a shady or sunny plant? do tell. wonderful post. glad you had such a nice time. dinner sounds great, too - mmmm. cheers!!
ReplyDeleteJust learning over the years....talk to other people who love gardening♥️
Deleteferns indoors are pretty tricky....need TONS of humidity....much better outdoors..
Start with Pothos and African violets....then we'll talk!♥️
Beautiful pictures Linda, it looks like you're having some fantastic weather - can't complain as we're having some lovely sunshine here too.
ReplyDeleteI love sweetpeas, don't often grow them but occasionally buy a bunch as the scent is divine.
Yes Jay....the weather has been pretty good......lots of humidity!
DeleteSweet peas are incredible....
Sunshine from sunrise to sunset.... Is that a fact? What more does a person need, right? I know those feet!
ReplyDeleteP.S. hey! Look at that.....oh I Like to visit you!
Ha ha ha!
DeleteThanks Grumpster!
Guess it sounds kinda silly...sunshine from sunrise to sunset....DUH!!..I meant no clouds!Ha!
