Did You Miss Me??????????♥️

We arrived home very late Friday night...

Our flight was delayed, due to a thunderstorm in Toronto...

In the morning...I saw that a lot of my Peonies had bloomed while I was away...:o(

I got busy, cutting the sagging blossoms...

The white ones were really past their prime...this has never happened to me before...but with the hot weather, and rain...I guess there was no stopping them from blooming...

Whenever I cut my Peonies, I always dip them into the pool, to get any buggies out...It works like a charm...and they look pretty with droplets of water on them!

We went to the cottage Saturday morning...WOW...what a difference! Our neighbour told us it rained for 20 hours straight one day...everything looked so lush!

The weather out there was gorgeous...no wind...but a few mosquitoes...

We stayed til late this afternoon...and made our way home...

I had such a wonderful time meeting Pam...the trip was very soggy and cold, but the last 2 days in Halifax were much better...

I need to sort thru my photos...and post about the trip...

So happy to be home...safe and sound...

Hope you all had a great weekend...

I will be making my rounds soon...

Enjoy your week ahead...

                  Cheers!  :o)

  4. Love the peonies! My white ones didn't bloom...I transplanted them earlier this spring...too bad! They are my favorite!
The pink ones actually have stood their whole blooming time without being beaten down by rain. That rarely happens!
I like your pool idea. I think I'll tell the mister that we need a pool...just for that reason! haha....
Glad you're back and had a nice trip!

  13. Sounds like a great trip topped off with a cottage visit. My peonies are finished, cut some off yesterday and noticed a couple more buds but don't know if the will open. Rain overnight and for today. It sure is needed.

  18. Hi Linda- Your peonies are gorgeous. I especially love the white ones. There is a peony plant at the front of our property and some were included in the perennials I got from Susan. Looking forward to seeing what colours I have. Glad you enjoyed your trip. It;s raining here today but we do need it. Tomorrow...I want sun. :) I`m sure you`re with V so have a great afternoon. Deb

You may not get any blooms this year....the one already growing should have the colour as the bud starts to open!
