It's Raining...It's Pouring...

It's raining...

It's pouring...

My garden is happy...

and...

So is this wee guy ♥️

Took all of these thru the window...

Hope it rains all day...

Sheets changed and washed...

White load done and folded...

Cottage laundry done and ready to go back...

I have a pork tenderloin for dinner...

Not sure whether to slice and grill like medallions...or go for the oven, and roast it whole??

Ahh....decisions...decisions....

                                       ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope you all had a great weekend...
Ours was verrrryyyy relaxing at the cottage...
Finished up another crochet project...boyfriend finished his latest read...
The most noise we heard, was from the sprinkler...watering...
Everything was as dry as a stick...lots of cleaning up to do... :/
Not my favorite of garden chores....to say the least...
Next weekend will come soon enough for that job...YUCK!!
From my archives!!
Right now...cup of tea and a sliced apple suits me just fine...
What are you up to this fine Monday afternoon???
Enjoy the rest of your day....
                           Cheers!  :o)
  1. We just finished cutting and trimming the grass in hopes that the rain comes and greens it back up again. I'm working on a project (in the garage) in case it doesn't dry in time before the rain comes. It is coming our way isn't it? It says most of it will be overnight, .... but tomorrow is Tuesday and that is grocery day and it usually rains on grocery day!!
  2. Well it's not raining..it'sabout 100 in the sun.. colled down..
    tomorrow we expect rain..and the gardens need it..I was hoping for sunshine though as one of our families is in Prince Edward County..Sandbanks.. I want them to have sun..:)
    I washed floors early this AM and then decide to steam one so had to pop into the store for distilled water.
    Just made a new Caesar sald dressing from my friend Susan..but tonight we cheat..Costco carries Schwartz's or Dunn's smoked meat..so that and rye bread and home baked fries..easy..
    Everything looks so refreshed w/ the rain there!
    Dinner? Stuffed portabello, with veg and potato (not decided how to do the potatoes yet).
  6. Love that bright yellow birdhouse!
    Haven't gone out yet today...
    Spent Saturday in the Haliburton Highlands for work/play. Such a beautiful spot. Sunday I got together with my brother's partner who lives in Edmonton. He died in 2007 and she has married but we still keep in touch. She was amazing throughout his illness. Lovely to see her.
  7. We were very lucky with the weather for my son's wedding . . it was glorious sunshine for two days . . . and a lot of the reception day was outdoors away from the hall and that was so much better dry. We had a sizeable firework display too which was a great surprise abd very professional.
    Love your pics showing the wet outdoors and glad you had a soporific weekend at the cottage . . . . zzzz . . lol
    You sure worked hard at the laundry . . :)
    3. My mom used to hang outside....I had a small clothesline years ago...gave it up! Extra work lugging it outside and then back in!
      I don't like duvets! I prefer a cotton blanket....and in the winter fleece sheets!
      Let's see the pics from the wedding!
  9. Love me a pork tenderloin! Lovely rain falling on your gardens, and the cute birdie with his umbrella. It is a bit dry here, low humidity with the cold mornings, and the plants are rather thirsty. A bit of rain would be helpful :) Have a great week Linda.
    1. Soon you will have Spring! Is it like our Spring? With the traditional flowers?
      Delete
    2. We do get our flowering annuals coming out late winter into Spring, Linda, however they are the tough ones like pansies and petunias. Sadly, it is too tropical here for the wonderful lilacs, daffodils, tulips, forget-me-nots etc etc that I love in Canada. I do enjoy our spring though because once the summer heat hits all the flowers die :( Off to a garden centre today for a few blooms.
