Latest Thrifty Things....

Thought I would share a few of my Thrift Shop buys over the last little while...

I seem to do MORE of it during the cooler months..nowadays I just want to get to the cottage with as few stops as possible...:o)

I had my son in mind when I picked this monster up...he loves anything "vintage" from the 60's and 70's...thought this filled the bill...

Now....this little piece is...gee...I dunno...anybody???? It was just so bizarre, I had to have it....:o)  2 little donkeys [ a team, I guess] with a cart...with lovely gold edging....but......what the heck is it??? A planter??? A candy dish??? A scrubbie holder??? HEY......that's gives me an idea...[not really...I still don't have a clue what it is!!] But how funky....$1....

This...I know...is a table runner....love the embroidery...$1

This a HUGE linen vintage Christmas tablecloth....love this... $3...

Got these 4 "Depression Looking" dessert plates for 50 cents...YES...you read right...50 cents for all four!!!! And they are nice and thick...not wimpy...

The Black framed Mirror...I have already installed in the backyard here at home....$2

Love the shape and color of this planter....and the legs make me laugh..[tee hee hee]

And 2/$1 vintage, flower power pillowcases...perfect for the cottage...:o)

Wonder if the Wiegelia Bush will be
flowering at the cottage...

Took this picture last year...

Love this bush...

Hope you all have a wonderful day...

What have you got planned??

Cheers!     :o)

  1. I think I had the matching sheets to those pillowcases back in the 70's!

  2. Oh my I remember the style of that bright orange glass from the 70's. What goes around comes around. The pink dish and plates are a great find as are the linens. You did really well! Have a good week. Pamela

  3. LOVE the pretty pink planter/dish! I think the blue donkey thingee is a planter. I am sure you will find a wonderful way to use it! The linens are fab, as always.

  5. I had a blue one of those orangy things - was never sure what to do with it other than just set it on the table. It went with my "Curved Space" furniture and the curling rink button on the end wall on our house on Garside - remember? I suppose that was "cool" back then..not sure.
