Easter Cactus...

By others....

Whatever they are called...

Mine are blooming beautiful!!!

All of these plants flowered in the weeks leading up to Christmas...

And now they are putting on another display....

Just in time for Easter...

Do your Cactuses bloom more than once a year???

What colours do you have???

Hope you are all having a great day...

Another busy day around here....

I have a ham bone in the slow cooker...

Will turn that into delicious Pea Soup...

I carved all the ham off. and made a platter that I will serve along

                       with the Turkey, on Friday.....

         On the menu tonight....

Ham and Eggs and Home fried potatoes...

An easy one for me tonight..

Must get cracking on my banana cream pie for Friday...

Very delicious...will share the recipe with you...  :o)

Still need to get the table all set and decorated....tomorrow!!!!

                       Cheers!   :o)

  1. Your cacti are truly beautiful! I cannot say the same for mine. You know the one I mean! I have moved it to a more sunny location in hopes it blooms in the next year or ten!

    2. Hahaha, I can actually grown plants in my house. I have many, but this cactus is just not blooming. Within a week of moving it to a sunnier window it grew another thingee...sadly not a bloom. I will give it a little fertilizer and send it love :)

  2. Beautiful cacti! I have only had one Christmas cactus; the flowers were fuschia-colored and I think it bloomed in mid-winter. I want to say January or February? But not really at Christmas, for whatever reason. Enjoy your pea soup; that's one of my favorites and I'll be making some after Easter with my leftover ham bone.

  4. Mine bloomed at Christmas and last month too, but just a few blooms each time. I've never seen a peach coloured one before. They are all beautiful.

  6. I have disallowed myself to buy live plants and flowers because they deserve a chance. They don't get a chance at my house.

    2. Yes, if you get the right ones. Spider plants and the like are easy and can be ignored for long periods of time and then when you remember them they quickly whip themselves into shape so you feel like a gardener!

    3. Great advise....are you listening, Birdie???
