Flip-Flops & Bonfire....One Year Ago Today!!

Oh...how I wish today was.... like this same day was... last year...

We spent an over-nite at the cottage...

Yard chores...

Flip-flops...

Daffodils...

Crocus...

Tiny Tulips...

Hostas poking thru..

Bamboo exploding..

Beach Flag installed...

Beach find that looks like a steer's skull...

 Sedums...

Day Lilies...

Nice long walk...

Bonfire....

Seagulls....

BUT...

Not this year!!!

COLD...

WINDY...

SNOWY...

We are heading out there today....

This was last March 22...Can you believe the difference from today's weather?

I will take some pics, and we can compare them better...

Hope you all have a great Friday...

On the menu tonight...

Grilled filet mignon...baked potato with sour cream [yummy]

            Sauteed mushrooms and onions...

Fresh asparagus with Parmesan cheese and cherry tomatoes...

Enjoy the rest of your chilly...cloudy....windy day!!

                    Cheers!     :o)

  3. Last year was so wonderful at this time of the year. I've been looking back in some photo archives and we were walking along the Trent River enjoying the water, the sand, the calmness and most of all the warmth!!! What a contrast to snow, ice, wind, and cold for this year. Dreaming ... dreaming ... dreaming ...
Enjoy your visit to the cottage.

  4. Last year was memorable. I had summer for my birthday in March. I don't suppose the fruit trees will blossom early this year. Last year many of them froze when the cold weather returned. Maybe this year we'll actually get peaches and cherries. :)

I think maybe I'll take a drive and sit on your beach when summer gets here.

  6. Yes, we had the same heat wave here last year. Oh well. The weather is so different from year to year, day to day. We have to take what we get. I hope you find some signs of spring at the beach. Enjoy!
