A few thrifty shopping Fridays ago....
I picked up 3 more sweet little creamers....
For some reason...
I have a REAL soft spot for them...
This yellow and white one....is Queen Anne...Iris Rose....
This dainty little gal is Adderley China...Bachelors Button pattern....
Love the detail on this one....the scalloped edge and curved handle...
The third little one is made in England....but could not find anything else about it....Cute little blue flowers...
I think all in all...they make a pretty cute little trio of creamers....
And the best part yet....they cost me $2.50 for all 3....
The Adderley one is $5 on EBay...The Queen Anne is also $5 on EBay...
But.......that is not the point.....and the point is....
I love giving treasures a new lease on life....
And my friends will testify....I DO USE THESE.....
THEY DON"T JUST SIT IN THE CHINA CABINET...
I love using pretty things...and these certainly qualify!!
Hope you all had a great day....
On the menu tonight....roasted chicken thighs....
Onion soup roasted potatoes....zucinni and peppers...
Ceasar Salad.....
Enjoy your evening...
So excited....driving to the cottage tomorrow...haven't been in nearly 6 weeks...
Hope to get some great shots to share...
And pick up some thrifty buys along the way...
My boyfriend is taking me for chinese food for lunch in Port....:o)
Cheers! :o)
linda
amazing.
ReplyDeleteif I didn't know better i'd think you were the double of my beautiful little mother.
she once said if she collected anything it would be small cream pitchers. we moved so much that collecting anything would have been terribly hard. just too much.
but she so enjoyed beautiful bone china.
we had a few pieces that were her treasures.
and she crocheted like you and cooked and baked like you! and she adored all babies!
speaking of Vivian ~ the side bar cuties in their sunglasses never fail to make me smile!
xo have fun at the cottage.
Thanks so much Tammy...such a compliment to be compared to your Mom...:o)
DeleteThat picture is great of her and her mom, eh??? Makes me smile too!!!
I am looking forward to the trip tomorrow!!
Lovely little creamers! Have fun at the cottage tomorrow and get some great shots. I am sure there are many!
ReplyDeleteThanks Devon...I am looking forward to it!!!
DeleteCute little creamers! I look for mine at the "thrifty shops" too, but they tend to sit on the shelf rather than be used. Isn't that sad?
ReplyDeleteNot sad...at least you gave them a new home...even if it is on the shelf!!
DeleteI do use mine....as often as I can...

ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of garage sales out at the lake...usually on long weekends...have YET to find anything suitable!!!
DeleteSome people just bring out the same old junk year after year...geeesh!!
