The Shingles Have Arrived!!!!

A few more pics from the cottage...

There were plenty of leaves...

And I thnk my Inukshuk was making a Leaf Angel!!

As was my wee Piggy!!!

Some sedums still going strong...

What an awesome plant that is!!

My boyfriend was very busy...in and out of the shed...

While...

I...

Took pictures!!!

It's a dirty job...

But...

Somebody's got to do it! hahaha!

Now...here is the story of the shingles  guy and the toothless pony-tailed roofer....

They arrived...backed into the driveway....loaded the shingles up onto the roof...and then........and....then....they.....were....gone!

This is how the Lake looked as we were leaving....looks like a snowstorm,eh??

So...

The shingles sit and wait...

For the toothless pony-tailed roofer...

To do his thing!!

Hopefully...

By now...

It..

Is...

Complete..♥

  1. They used a crane to get the shingles on the roof and then left!!! I am agog (do you have that word in Canada - think stunned!). I hope that toothless has come and done his thing by now, otherwise moose will be back - to add the decorative antlers!!

I know, I am going crazy, it is the paint fumes....

  2. Oh, I hope they came back and put the shingles on already! I guess they can't be stolen if they're on the roof out of reach eh? :)

  4. Yipee, the shingles arrived ... getting them on is the next step before all the rain moves in. There is even snowflakes in the forecast for overnight, but we don't plan to stay up to see them. I did some shopping at Winners yesterday ... got a nice wooden Christmas tree for the mantle and a lovely, soft grey pullover for me and hubby got a new belt! I've been knitting tonight, started a pair of fingerless gloves.

  5. It is good if your roof has shingles, but it is bad if you do... (Lalalala...)
Love the Lake Cloud picture. Something intriguing about them in the winter.
Perhaps this winter I will once again dare to venture out and take Lake photos... perhaps.

  6. Ha! I thought you meant shingles as in the chicken pox. I am very glad it is roof shingles. :-)

  10. It’s good that those shingles arrived and were installed before the rain! Otherwise, installing them would have been quite tricky. Anyway, I hope you take the time check those shingles regularly, and keep them well-maintained. That way, any possible problem would be found and fixed right away. Cheers!
