No Sleepover......But....Gorgeous Blue Skies♥

First of all...

I have been up with Miss V since 5:45am...

She has just gone down for her morning nap...

I'm pooped! haha!

Secondly....

I answered all the comments on Fridays post...

Said that we were home...

Didn't stay over...

Perhaps there is still hope!

Anyway.......On with the tour!

Although the winds were kicking up at about 60kms/hr...

When the sun was out...

It wasn't that bad...

Considering the temp was 14*c...

Pretty warm for this time of year...

But the wind...

Was...

CRAZY!!!

You can see the cloud starting to build up....

By 2:30...

It was total cloud...

And...

Started getting chillier....

We knew then...

It would be...

WAAAAAAAYYY..

Too cold...

To...

Sleepover...:o(

I had brought a few things to cook for dinner...

But...

They stayed in the cooler....and I cooked it......at home!

This was seconds before the wave got me....soaked socks, shoes and pants!

Here we are sitting on the bench...

Just enjoying listening to the waves...

                                                        And...then...it was time to go...

                                                        We left around 3pm...

As it really cooled out then!

                                                         Stopped at a thrift shop...

                                                          Got a few things....

Took this shot from inside.....the clouds are really think now...

Doesn't she look beautiful...

With her winter shutters up..♥

There used to be a shutter for the big living room window...

THe first year we had the cottage, we installed it...and regretted it!

The inside was as dark as anything...so...we never put it up again!

And...we ended up putting in the 2 side windows...

To let in way more light...and air circulation...

                                                              ***********

Hope you are all having a great weekend...

Will shower now....while Miss V is sleeping...♥

Not sure about dinner yet....still kinda sleepy!

                                       Cheers!  :o)

  1. Sorry you didn't get a sleepover, it looks as though it was beautiful earlier in the day, even though it was cold. It is amazing how the sky can be so blue, but it is freezing cold. Lovely photo of you and your boyfriend! xx

  3. Brrr! It does look cold. Never cease to be amazed by the scale of Canada. Like a lake you can't see the other side of... There's no room for even one of those over here!

    1. Thanks Jessica....Our lake...Lake Erie... is one of the smallest of the 5 Great Lakes....
They border Canada and the United States...the other side of Lake Erie is New York State....and towards the S/W is Pennsylvania...
On a clear day....you can see the other side!
      Thanks for visiting!

  5. Look at you two lovebirds! Aww, such a nice couple. I'm sorry you didn't get to stay up there but it's probably for the best, the weather sounds very rough. I remember that kind of weather when we lived on the other shore of Lake Ontario, it could be so brutal in a storm.

  7. i'm with betsy. love the picture of you and your boyfriend! very stylish lake dwellers.
and that lake water . . . looks more like the cold winter SEA to me !!!
    i even forget it's a huge lake.
actually there are seas around the world called seas not even as big as your lake. so silly.
so i think we should call her your cottage by the sea.
has a nice sound. don't you think?
the pictures make me want to get a warm coat and hot chocolate! beautiful! xoxo

  8. Next year I should like to visit you at the cottage. I did not make it to Canada at all this summer. (I was there in January, well, Fort Erie, if that counts.) I though certain we would decide to make an escape one day and at least find ourselves north of Buffalo.
    Love your photos.

  10. 5:45! Yikes! Now I know why women go through menopause. I never want to go through that again.

You need a big pair of rubber boots for the beach.
