Off The Beaten Path........

While driving to the cottage last week...

We took a slightly different route...

And came across this great little horse farm...

Out on a gravel road...

They were just having their morning snack...

They were very friendly...

Aren't those big blue eyes beautiful!

Came right over to the fence to say "Hi!" to me and my boyfriend...

I think we will be taking this alternate route often...

And visit with our new friends!

A wee bit further along...

We spotted this guy...

High up in the trees...

Scouting for HIS morning snack!

I zoomed in...

And captured his elegance...

He must have spotted me....as he flew to a nearby hydro pole....
As my boyfriend waited patiently in the truck for me♥

Sharing this Gerbera Daisy with you all today...

It was just a couple of months ago, that I brought her home...

And this past weekend, she actually put out a new bloom...

But...

Definitely...

Not this big and beautiful!

Hope you are all having a great day....

Kinda cold...and still blustery here today...wee bit of sun earlier...

Now...the clouds have once again rolled in...

                                  ******

Miss V is napping....♥♥♥

Scotch broth is simmering on the stove....

I made this from one Lamb Shank that was left over on Friday night...

We will have that tomorrow night...with a nice sandwich or salad...

                                 *******

On the menu this fine Monday night...

Pepper steak served over No-Yolk Noodles...

         Side Spinach salad...

Enjoy the rest of your day...

What are you up to today???

So glad my post yesterday made you all feel warm and cosy....me too!

                           Cheers!   :o)

  1. Well that is very friendly of your gerbera to have put out a new bloom! It's nice to take a different route when you go the same way all the time isn't it. The truck looks very swish! xx

  2. Not a big fan of the bird friends, is he? Haha. I love your daisies, the color is awesome. That horse has such unusual eyes, I wonder if that's just the kind of horse he is or if it's a form of albinism or something like that.

  4. Wonderful photos of the hawk and horses. Snow heading in our direction overnight and for a couple of days. Looking forward to getting some nice snowy scene photos, but not looking forward to the mess it makes of the driveways, paths and roads. We'll just have to wait and see how much arrives.

  8. Love your new header photo. It look cold but beautiful with the ice on the shoreline. Sweet horse photos. There are 4 down the road that like to come to the fence when we walk by. We don't cross the ditch to visit them though. Great captures of the hawk, Linda! So nice that your boyfriend is waiting patiently. It was sunny, cold and very windy here today. We're getting lots of rain on Wednesday and 13 degrees. I guess better than snow that parts of Ontario and Quebec will be getting. :)
