Good Morning...so glad you could stay inside nice and toasty warm to get those fabulous icy pictures. I have to admit I love looking at your winter pictures, they are so stunning...but I do enjoy Sunny Southern CA for my living. Your photography is so excellent. Burrrr...
ReplyDeleteWell thanks Wanda....I try to make the most of our climate here in Southern Ontario♥
DeleteWe will be soaking up the soon...sooner than you think!
Beautiful photographs Linda, stunning actually!! Wanda is right though BRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not envy whatever freezing temperature that is that you have there right now! Keep warm and toasty. xx
ReplyDeleteYes Ma'am.....warm and toasty here!♥
DeleteOh wow. It may be cold, but isn't it pretty. Love the ice on the red stems. Not nice for those who have lost power or who have to go out in it though. Keep warm.
ReplyDeleteQuite a bit of damage around the streets here....lots of trees down...thankfully no freezing rain at the cottage♥
DeleteHi Linda
ReplyDeleteGlad all is good with you after that amazing ice storm ! I am surprised it passed us by ! Lovely photos . Thanks for sharing . Have a good evening !
You are lucky. Elaine...still messy here tonight!
DeleteSo lad you didn't lose your power, Linda. The ice is beautiful but can be really scary, huh? Thanks for sharing your photos, that ice is impressive. Stay warm and have a good night.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Jen! Yes...scary...for sure!
Deletemakes for beautiful photos but it is scary the destruction, stay safe and warm, the roast sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHi Laurie...thanks for coming by!
DeleteThe roast was delish!
Wow...you weren't kidding about the ice! That's amazing! It's beautiful as long as you don't have to go out in it and your power stays on!
ReplyDeleteI just have food prep to do now...and a quick clean of the house. My kitchen floor needs mopped like you wouldn't believe. ha.
Oh....I wish I was as confident as you are, Betsy!
DeleteI still have to make "more" meatballs...shortbread...and some kind of pie!
I also have the kids Christmas Eve...they go to church with their Dad....
Not sure what to serve that night!
Great pictures! Much like here, but maybe more ice.
ReplyDeleteThanks Furry....We are still encrusted here!
DeleteBrrrrrr!!!!!! Looks very chilly!!! And cozy too. But then, I don't have to blow the driveway off before going anywhere!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Christmas my friend!
xo Kris
Merry Christmas Kris!
DeleteWe haven't ventured out on the roads since last Thursday. I did trek around the garden though ... very gingerly. Worked at getting the ice of the van ... but at least everything in the garage was ice free!!! I sometimes wonder why we have a garage. Had to climb in through the back lift gate of the van to get inside ... no way was the ice around the doors going to give. Everything cleared off in the end. We might go out this morning, just for something to do. Have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteSpent the day in bed....sick with something...I am up now!
DeleteMerry Christmas Linda!
Ice. Beauty and destruction.
ReplyDeleteHoping everyone is safe and warm there.
James' cousin Tracy says, "Wow." (She lives in Toronto.)
My memories of our last great ice storm are still fresh ten years later.
Hope your day is wonderful!
Toronto still has pockets with no power!
DeleteMerry Christmas Martha!
You got some pretty ice pictures Linda. It sure did a lot of damage up there. We had ice pellets and freezing rain here too - all weekend long - and still today. Thankful the power is still on. I want to wish you and your hubby and family a very happy Christmas! Enjoy every moment with Miss V. Hugs, Pamela
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Pam!
DeleteIce is so beautiful to look at, but I don't blame you one bit for taking the pictures from inside. Thanks for showing us your part of the world.
ReplyDeleteIce storms are beautiful but deadly -- glad your power stayed on!
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteMerry Christmas Debra!
We were without power from 9am to the wee hours of the next day!!! We played cards by candlelight and huddled around the gas fireplace for warmth! It was kind of nice, actually.
ReplyDeleteSweet! At least you made the most of it, Devon!
DeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family!
