It's always nice seeing all your bits and bobs of photos. Miss V sure does look all toasty warm and cozy. The bedroom cottage looks lovely. Pea soup sounds and looks delicious. I need to make some soup on the weekend and get some nice aromas in the house. It sure is chilly ... poured of rain all night and all morning ... I just covered up my tomato plants for a very chilly couple of nights ... had a nice warming cup of tea after being outside for a short while. Hope you make it to the cottage tomorrow for a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda...I appreciate that...
DeleteGuess I better bring in my geraniums and big spikes...:o(
I hope I make it tomorrow too!
Your cottage is so inviting and cosy looking!
ReplyDeleteThere will be a fire roaring here tonight, and no doubt all weekend.
You're opening the pool next weekend? For skating I guess.
Have a lovely weekend, pack your wellies.

DeleteWhat a fun little tour! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI'll take a bowl of soup and a slice (or two!) of bread, please!!
Sure thing Betsy...the soup came out really good!!!
DeleteIt looks delicious. I've never made pea soup before. You should post your recipe! It's still soup weather, too! Ha. Damp and chilly here today.
DeleteLove, love, love your cottage. What a wonderful retreat. Nothing could make it even better than to paint the rooms yellow....love that. That's my go-to colour to make a room inviting and cozy. Both the main bedroom, the spare bedroom and my office are yellow. And, I love the old wooden door on your bedroom and all the photos around to really make it 'home'. I've said it before..."you lucky girl".
ReplyDeleteHope you get to spend the weekend there with family. "Come on, SUN" Hugs, Deb
ALl the bedroom shave those doors...with the latch, that never really holds shot! hahaha!
DeleteThe other bedrooms are blue and green...all MARTHA colours...
Hope to go tomorrow...nobody coming out...too cold!!!
Need to get some work done!
I hope that you have a great weekend at the cottage, it is lovely to see some more of it. Those paint by numbers look really good, just the right feel for the room, it looks like a perfect little holiday retreat - which it is of course!!! The new deck looks great too, hope that you love spending time out there during the week. And last but not least! Love the new cushion covers, I like the idea of mix and match! Hope that your weekend is filled with lovely. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy....you too♥️

DeleteWOW!
DeleteWon the lottery......AND a new wife?
Pretty tall order there Eddie.....
I am the eternal optimist!! LOL
DeleteYou certainly are......
DeleteYour deck looks like a lovely spot to relax, Linda, It seems like it gets a lot of sunshine! And I really enjoyed the pictures of your bedroom at the lake...I thought I was gong to have to wait awhile to see some of your cottage. I love the exposed wood as well as the pretty yellow. It looks so cozy! We haven't had the chance to get to ours which is very rare for May, yet this rainy, cold weather is rare, too! And yes, so much work to be done...a good cleaning, freshen up the quilts and blankets, scrub floors and baths. And that's just inside!!
ReplyDeleteYour pea soup looks delish as well as the cakes. I made a hearty beef stew tonight, one last meal before tons of restaurant dining. I was longing for comfort food because of that and this wretched cold, rainy weather.
Looks like you had a fun evening with your sweetie! :)
XO,
Jane
Yes Jane...our deck at home faces west...so lots of sun!
DeleteYou know about cottages Jane!!! Lots to be done...
Hi Linda, your new decking looks nice and I love your green chairs and table. I love your old fashioned bedroom at the cottage. It's really charming with the painted wood and vintage things around the room. We had a gorgeous day here but it's not going to last. Maybe some sun tomorrow then 'your' rain is coming for a few days. Yep. It's going to sit right over us and stay for a while. :( Guess we'll make the best of it. Enjoy your cottage day. I hope the weather is nicer. xo Pam
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam...we like it1
DeleteHAd rain at the cottage on Saturday night...otherwise still pretty chilly...
I love your cottage bedroom! I took that "What kind of house are you" quiz on Facebook and got cottage. It works for me .I keep trying to read the sign on you bedroom wall but can't quite make it out.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your long weekend and the cottage!
The sign says"Always Kiss Me Goodnight"....
DeleteIt feels good to be getting outdoors again, even if the weather is changeable. It looks like your deck is a good spot to catch some sunshine. Your cottage looks very welcoming, I like the way you have decorated. The last picture is adorable.
