  1. Well, the first thing I thought of was The Wicked Witch of the West's legs and witchy shoes! hahaha!
Secondly, it looked like two swans' necks and heads, dive bombing. Very cool looking!

Have a wonderful birthday celebration! Dinner sounds wonderful!

Can't wait to see what your brussel sprouts do! They're really looking great! Wow!

    1. Hi Eddie...
That bike is over 40 years old!
My boyfriend bought it for me AGES ago....it was in the basement for 30 years...and we put it in the garden a few years back!
No...I won't be riding it! Hahaha! I have much better one for that!
Yes...I am a damn good cook....but I really enjoy cooking.....MOST of the time!
Jeff enjoyed his dinner....he is a great guy!

    2. LOL
Well the bike certainly looks in very good condition . . . . just like its owner.
Get th b/f to take a piccie of you riding your bike - your readers would love thatt!! LOL
Maria and I had bikes whch we rode 2 years ago after a log break. We have a local cycle track we use and she was a little nervous when she got both feet off the ground after lots of prompting by me and I was in hysterics when she protested, "It's alright for you, but I haven't ridden a bike since 1976" just as three people passed us who were totally cracked up.
      Have a good day

  5. Fabulous Linda. I like the bike with the additions, a plant or two will make it even better! What a clever boyfriend you have. The clouds look like a pair of folded up angels wings to me! Perhaps that is just because I am a fanciful sort. Hope that you have a great evening with the birthday boy! xx

  10. Oh my, that Miss V is growing like a weed! (a beautiful weed of course:) Your pictures are as delightful as ever. I'm so excited for you and your sprouts!!! I planted some too this year. I just love the way they grow so tall and stately:) I've never grown them in a pit though. Curious as to how that works out. White peonies are gorgeous. I just brought some pink ones in the house today after they finally opened. I can't wait to try and mix them with some other flowers that are bursting outside. The roses are particularly gorgeous this year! Not sure why...

Thank so much for sharing, Linda. Have a wonderful birthday celebration!!!

    1. In a POT ~~Louise~~......not a pit! Hahaha!
I guess I should have put them in the ground....will they need to be staked? Geesh!
      I hope the stalk....if I get one.....doesn't fall over!

    2. Whoops typo, lol...If you saw what I looked like nursing this should and trying to type you'd realize I could have written a whole lot of gibberish, lol...No, they won't need to be staked. They grow rather stately and strong. I just worry if the pot, not pit, is deep enough:)

  11. It just poured and poured here, in fact we broke rainfall records for the day with 43 mm coming down. The peonies are now minus most of their petals :( Good luck with those brussels sprouts ... I'm trying growing kale and okra and zucchini for the first time.

  15. I love your old bicycle and think it will look sweet with some flowers growing in the basket and maybe even in the old can. It's our daughter-in-law to be's birthday today so we went out to dinner with her, Mark and her parents. We had a really nice time and a delicious meal. Miss V looks so sweet in her pretty outfit and hat. The clouds look like angel wings to me. What an unusual formation. Pam

  17. So beautiful the clouds look like a ballerina; your garden is gorgeous ...My chives was the only surviving herb from last year...soon the day-lilies will bloom ( love them) and I just bought a coleus for an empty pot, I need to pinch back the leaves...do you do that to make it look bushier? Miss V is adorable, and your dinner sounds so yummy - actually mouthwatering scrumptious. have a lovely week.
