First Cottage Sleepover & Sunset for 2015....

It was darn cold on Saturday...

But we had our sleepover at the cottage...

Water is on!!

All systems are a go!!

Had a lovely fish dinner out at the local restaurant...

Slept like logs in our cosy bed...

Furnace is awesome!!

Sunday, we actually got some raking done...

Lovely warm day...

You can see...

There is still lots of snow on the Lake...

And a lot to melt on the West side...

I took this from our bedroom window...

Boyfriend set up the bench...

And we soaked in a few rays...

Still pretty nipply!!

I also zoomed into this pic from upstairs...

Doesn't it look like a Polar Bear, climbing onto the ice!!

It does....doesn't it??

I watched the Sunset hit the ice...

Beautiful!!

Through the remnants of last years Miscanthus grasses...

Hope you are all having a great day...

A very busy one here...

Feeding my daughters 3 cats in Burlington...they are away...

And...we have Miss V for a sleepover...

Her Mom is at the Season opening Game for the Toronto Blue Jays...

I am just about to put a Chicken Pot Pie in the oven...

And give Miss V a bath...

Enjoy your evening...

                                Cheers!  :o)

  3. Our lake ice has melted, but then again we never have quite as much as your cottage lake.
The wind was blowing from the south today, and that means we got a warm breeze.
    Even a little too warm.

  7. Great photos, Linda. And yes, it does look like a polar bear. We had great weather all weekend and I spent most of it raking 20 year old leaves. My aunt dropped by; she 94. She's an amazing lady. Hope the cats behave for the cat-sitter .:)

He got the idea from his sister when we visited her on the weekend. She's famous for her soups and cookies. Have fun with Miss V. and enjoy the week.

  14. Well, I consider myself brilliant :-) but I am voting for crocodile too!
Looks frosty but fresh at the cottage - must be great to be able to negotiate the terrain a bit better. And the furnace - yippee!
Sunset is beautiful through the grass - an interesting perspective.
So gloomy this afternoon and such a dark, threatening sky a few different times. But the weekend was beautiful.
    Lovely picture of you!

  15. So fantastic!!!! I bet that you were very excited to be sleeping over. It seems that the snow has melted a lot from the last pictures, that is good isn't it, and the lake is defrosting too!! It is great to see the garden before everything starts growing, you can get an idea of the size and layout that is difficult to imagine when everything is all grown up. Hope you have more fun soon! xx
