First Cottage Sleepover & Sunset for 2015....
It was darn cold on Saturday...
But we had our sleepover at the cottage...
Water is on!!
All systems are a go!!
Had a lovely fish dinner out at the local restaurant...
Slept like logs in our cosy bed...
Furnace is awesome!!
Sunday, we actually got some raking done...
Lovely warm day...
You can see...
There is still lots of snow on the Lake...
And a lot to melt on the West side...
I took this from our bedroom window...
Boyfriend set up the bench...
And we soaked in a few rays...
Still pretty nipply!!
I also zoomed into this pic from upstairs...
Doesn't it look like a Polar Bear, climbing onto the ice!!
It does....doesn't it??
I watched the Sunset hit the ice...
Beautiful!!
Through the remnants of last years Miscanthus grasses...
Hope you are all having a great day...
A very busy one here...
Feeding my daughters 3 cats in Burlington...they are away...
And...we have Miss V for a sleepover...
Her Mom is at the Season opening Game for the Toronto Blue Jays...
I am just about to put a Chicken Pot Pie in the oven...
And give Miss V a bath...
Enjoy your evening...
Cheers! :o)

ReplyDeleteYup....boyfriend thought perhaps a seal!
DeleteShe went to bed like a dream♥️
Our lake ice has melted, but then again we never have quite as much as your cottage lake.
ReplyDeleteThe wind was blowing from the south today, and that means we got a warm breeze.
Even a little too warm.
:0)
We are in a bit of a bay, the lake was more open, further West.....
DeleteHope it melts this week....
Very windy and rainy here tonight!
BRRRR it looks so cold.
ReplyDeleteThe fire would warm things up.
Do you have an electric blanket?
Have fun with Miss V.
Oh yes.....absolutely! Electric blanket is our friend!
DeleteHad a ball with Miss V.....
Still lots of snow that end of the lake ! Our end here is all gone even the lake this end has no snow or ice left I am surprised there is still snow and ice on the lake there as lake Erie is the warmest lake of them all ! It was a wonderful day yesterday sunny and warm temps hit 20C and sunny and today was even better sunny and high of 22C I saw a few butterfly's flutter by to . I was out in the gardens both days tidying them up . Glad you had a nice sleepover at the cottage lovely photos . Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteYes...we thought the same Elaine....hope it goes quickly!
DeleteEnjoy your week.....
Love these pictures ! I see the polar bear too!!
ReplyDeleteHa! I knew somebody would!
DeleteHow are you Gloria?
Great photos, Linda. And yes, it does look like a polar bear. We had great weather all weekend and I spent most of it raking 20 year old leaves. My aunt dropped by; she 94. She's an amazing lady. Hope the cats behave for the cat-sitter .:)
ReplyDeleteYeah! Three brilliant people see it! Hahaha!
DeleteI need to visit you....and learn more about your Aunt♥️
I am indeed the cat-sitter.....back again tomorrow!
Enjoy your week, Deb!
Great you got your sleepover . . . you look so happy.
ReplyDeleteWhat was that Polar Bear thing . . . looks more like a crocodile to me . . . . ?
Nice lot of photos . . . . :)
Hi Eddie....
DeleteI was very happy! Just need some more warmth to thaw everything out!
That is 2 for the crocodile!
How are you?
Come to think of it ~ it could be an extremely thin Polar Bear ~ must be ravenous . . . :)
DeleteI am like a nice mature bottle of wine ~ I am improving with age . . . lol
A little better each day thanks, leg size almost normal and tissue healing slowly ~ gosh that was awful . . :)
Yes...it was a long winter!
DeleteGood...glad you are better...make sure it heals properly this time!!
A good bottle of wine.......cheeky devil!
lol . . . . :)
DeleteYay! Yippee! First cottage sleepover of the season. It really looks beautiful there especially the sunset photo. It won't be long before the ice is melted and boats will be zipping around. I thought the ice chunk looks like a croc. LOL or a seal? Have a super week.
ReplyDeleteOk.....a tie for croc and polar bear! Hahaha!
DeleteYou take care of yourself!
I'm sure you had a great time getting back to the cottage, even if it was still cool.
ReplyDeleteHi Furry....
DeleteWe certainly did !
Thanks for stopping by!
Nice selfie of you! You're looking skinny!
ReplyDeleteI see the polar bear...oh my..that is hilarious!
Ha! Not skinny....just old!
DeleteOk...polar bear is in the lead!
lol . . . .I'm saying nothing . . . . haha
DeleteThat really does look like a Polar bear! Great photos; man does it look cold and yet, comfy!
ReplyDeletePolar Bear is winning!!
DeleteEnjoy your week, Dixie!
Love the photo of you, looking svelte. Yup, definitely a polar bear. You sound busy and happy! This boyfriend made a parsnip and pears soup, very yummy. He got the idea from his sister when we visited her on the weekend. She's famous for her soups and cookies. Have fun with Miss V. and enjoy the week.
ReplyDeleteParsnip and Pear??? WOW...very interesting! You are so lucky you snagged a cook!! hahaha!
DeleteOff to feed the cats again today...and a browse at IKEA!!
Well, I consider myself brilliant :-) but I am voting for crocodile too!
ReplyDeleteLooks frosty but fresh at the cottage - must be great to be able to negotiate the terrain a bit better. And the furnace - yippee!
Sunset is beautiful through the grass - an interesting perspective.
So gloomy this afternoon and such a dark, threatening sky a few different times. But the weekend was beautiful.
Lovely picture of you!
Ok....another for crocodile!!
DeleteWill tally it up at the end!
That was quite a downpour we got yesterday...right around 5:30...as people were getting to the ball game!!
Forgot to mention that I love that pierced lantern - so pretty. The light they cast is beautiful. A friend of mine who used to own a cottage had a few and I bought her some as well. Just beautiful when lit at night.
DeleteThat is a lamp!
DeleteBought it at a garage sale for $1!
So fantastic!!!! I bet that you were very excited to be sleeping over. It seems that the snow has melted a lot from the last pictures, that is good isn't it, and the lake is defrosting too!! It is great to see the garden before everything starts growing, you can get an idea of the size and layout that is difficult to imagine when everything is all grown up. Hope you have more fun soon! xx
ReplyDeleteVERY!!! and excited about the water...now I can get things clean and organized!
DeleteFirst Spring job, will be staining the sunporch floor...
It is quite a large property...just under an acre!!!
Lots to keep you busy!
i vote polar bear too. amazing!
ReplyDeleteand the sun through the grasses... already have forgotten the name... are beautiful.
slowly but surely... your favorite season is approaching. :)
Polar bear is in the lead...hahaha!
DeleteYes....Summer!!
looks like heaven..
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place you have there.
You must feel younger every time you are there:) The water..
I am sure you had fun w/ Miss V:)
Our snow is pretty much gone also..
YIPPPEE>
I have my first blister from raking my neighbours leaves off my front side garden;)
Funny you should say that Monique...it is true...when I am there I do feel young...able to tackle anything!!
DeleteWe had a great evening with Miss V...
our snow gone at home...just need to get rid of that ice on the lake at the cottage!!
Oh...I do the same thing....rake the neighbours leaves...and they have an OAK tree...they never go away!!
It's a polar bear...a very thin polar bear, exhausted and hungry after making his way down from Hudson's Bay. Bless him,he thought you were going to have a BBQ.
ReplyDeleteJane x
YAY!!! Polar bear wins it by a nose!!!
DeleteLooks like you've been super busy. Funny about the bear in water.
