The extent of my Blooms outside...
Are...
2 Daffodils...
And...
A clump of white Hyacinths...
Oh yes...
Can't forget...
Tiny bouquets of Jolly Jump Ups scattered here and there...
Hoping for something more flowery SOON!
Inside...things are a bit brighter...
Geraniums still going strong...
African Violets looking very glamorous...
What is flowering in your outdoor/indoor garden?
I wanted to show you how much the weather is jumping around...
On Monday...on the way to the park with Miss V...
We were all bundled up!!
Her Mother would kill me, if she saw this outfit!!!
Nothing co-ordinated...
But...
I let her pick everything out!
Gosh...she makes us smile...from ear to ear♥️
On the way home from the park, my boyfriend was gathering up water bottles etc, that "people" had left behind...Miss V got in on the act...she was so excited to carry them back here, and put them in the recycling bin!
Bless her little heart!!
Fast forward to Wednesday...
Warm and toasty...
Short sleeved shirt!!
Crazeeeee!!
Here is the Moon last night...
I think it will be right over the lake...can't wait for that!!
We are leaving bright and early in the morning...
Hopefully much warmer...and perhaps even a bloom or two!!
Hope you are all having a great day...
Mix of sun & cloud today...not as warm as yesterday...
Think I'll get outside and do a wee bit more raking...my favorite pastime!!
A comfort meal tonight...Grilled pork tenderloin...
Mashed potatoes,fresh green beans,gravy..
Yummy!!
Enjoy the rest of your day...
Cheers! :o)
linda
The weather is a little bipolar this week.
ReplyDeleteYesterday was perfect!
Today the wind is coming off that cold lake which probably means it's warm at your house.
The sun is bright and Sofie and I went for an orchard walk.
It's warm if you keep moving and probably super nice a litter farther south where the cold lake breeze has a better chance to warm up.
I have no blooms inside. Outside are daffodils, 2 tulip blooms, and my dogtooth violets, along with some pretty yellow dandelions.
:0)
For sure!
DeleteNot very warm here at home....probably warmer at the cottage....:o(
Nothing stops the dandelions,eh?
Weather quite nice here ~ your's looks changeable.
ReplyDeleteLove the flower shots ~ more variety will appears soon I expect.
Little Miss V's clothes selection was very practical.
Amazing how all those bottles and litter are just left lying around ~ never done in my day .. . . :)
Hi Eddie....
DeleteThis Spring is yucky! My garden is way behind....
Litter is a real problem here....we weren't raised that way!
Water bottles are a real headache over here...
You good?
Have a good trip to the cottage . . . and enjoy . . . :)
DeleteThank you....we did!
DeleteWhat a story I have to tell!
It's been milder this week..but only Scilla..and Pulmonaria in bloom..
ReplyDeleteDaffs have swollen buds..but no blooms..
We were after school bus duty this week for 3 Alphabet boys..so every morning I baked:)
In the aft.. worked outside..then we metthe boys at the bus at 3.15..stay till about 5..
Inside.. African Violets..Christmas Cactus.That's it!
Love..the first blk and white of Miss V..

DeleteI did spy my Pulmonaria....just the spotted leaves...perhaps next week
You have had a busy week.......nice eh?
Especially with the kiddies...
She is an adorable recycler.....for sure!
Have a great weekend!
Hi Linda - Oh, I think you are in for a great weekend at the cottage. Weather sounds promising. We had the same weather as you today but I'm loving the sunshine. Your photos are beautiful as always. I don't have flowers other than crocuses and the Forsythia bush is in bloom. Our lilac trees look almost ready to bloom. I'm planting lots of annuals while I wait for perennials to grow. This 2 acre lot needs lots of them.My little Red kept me company today. He says "Howdy".
ReplyDeleteHi Deb.....oh, I hope so!
Delete"Howdy" Red.....mine is a little bu**er lately....very nosy and devouring the seed!
Happy weekend!
The weekend is forecast to be GLORIOUS!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it!
Jane x
Will do!
DeleteYou too!
Typical April weather..showers and cold..then warm and sunny! We've had both extremes today!
ReplyDeleteHey, her outfit looks great when you make the photo black and white! haha....
Hope the weather cooperates for your weekend.....
I know! That is why i did that.....but, I had to show her colour combo! Hahaha!
DeleteI hope the weekend is awesome!
Good for Vivian for picking out her own clothes and recycling! I think is cute when kids pick out their own clothes. When my daughter was little her ensembles always consisted of a dress with pants and rubber boots.
ReplyDeleteVery attractive!
DeleteWe were close to the 90's today. The pool is looking real good to me. Since we were gone all day, I made an easy dinner of grilled tuna salad sandwiches, cold slaw with pineapple and avocado slices. Ice Tea. It was refreshing. You dinner sounds yummy,
ReplyDeleteHot down there! Send some heat!
DeleteHappy Birthday young lady!♥️
I think she looks perfectly co-ordinated! Nothing wrong with pink and red together - very avant garde!
ReplyDeleteNo flowers around here - in or out. But I may pick up some for the weekend. Going a bit crazy from Thursday to Sunday this week as I am working some professional auditions, attending a duo-retirement party, going to a concert and throwing a shower for my god-daughter. Yikes! It's fun, but I just need more hours in the day.
Have a great weekend at the cottage... or as my girlfriend and I used to pronounce her cottage... "the cot-tawwwwge" - ha!
What a crammed schedule you have! I love to be busy!
DeleteEnjoy the shower!
I will have fun at the cot-tawwwwge! Hahaha!
I have been felled with a wretched cold the last few days so I'm not able to go to the retirement party tonight... but as I am co-hosting the shower tomorrow I absolutely have to be there. Sigh. Why couldn't I get sick when there was nothing on the calendar? :-)
DeleteAh well... Murphy's Law. Hope you are enjoying the cot-tawwwwge!
Of all the darn luck.....hope you are better and enjoyed the shower!
DeleteThe shower was wonderful - so glad that it all happened without a hitch. And a gorgeous day weather-wise. But OMG... I felt like I was operating on another planet. I just willed myself to get through it. So sick, have lost my voice and it would be really nice to breathe again. I know breathing is highly over-rated, but... :-)
DeleteMiss V is so cute! And your closeups of the flowers are exquisite! My spring flowers have stopped blooming and now it's time to plant all those bedding plants I bought the other day. I have the front patio finished, now for the bigger, back patio. I had to rest up a day, the old bod is worn out.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the cottage!
Thanks Cheryl! Hopefully lots more to come....
DeleteLooking forward to see what you do with all those flowers!
Have a nice weekend!
Beautiful pics. Miss V is so cute.....
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra!
DeleteEnjoy the weekend!
Well, I have an African violet exactly like that purple one! I love Miss V's outfit - red and pink together look very chic, imo. Always smile when I see her Minnie Mouse hat, which is beyond cute!
ReplyDeleteThat one has been a really consistent bloomer....love her!
DeleteI must make her another character hat for next year....
You have more blooms than me ... just those little jump ups or violets in the green stuff we call grass. But I do have buds, so if it gets a bit warmer perhaps they will open up. I've taken to wearing my capri pants as I'm tired of winter clothes, but mornings are still a bit chilly. Enjoy the time at the cottage.
ReplyDeleteI guess 2 is more than none! Pitiful display...where are all my bulbs?
DeleteMe too Linda....winter clothes are a no-no....after all.....it is MAY!
Have fun!
By now you must be at the cottage. So, there are some daffodils, hostas and helianthus beginning to sprout in the backyard garden. Okay, I have to be honest, the BF takes care of this. I'm the indoor houseplant person. Have a lovely weekend. Just making a dessert orange mousse for friends coming for dinner tomorrow. Take care...
ReplyDeleteLucky you.....boyfriend who COOKS and GARDENS!
DeleteHope you had a great weekend!
Your blooms are quite pretty! I don't have many outside yet either (I think 3 hyacinth). Let's hope this nicer weather stays now. Last week really was a mixed bag ... we had snow and hail too ... yuk. Enjoy your time at the cottage :)
ReplyDeleteWendy
Thanks for stopping by Wendy!
Deletei think she did very well picking out what to wear.
ReplyDeleteit's beautiful here today... hope you have a wonderful weekend! xo
Thanks Tammy.....just home! Worked like dogs!

ReplyDeleteHi Martha.....hope your break was good!
DeleteWelcome back!
Take it easy this weekend, Linda. Hope to catch up soon.
ReplyDeleteEasy? Are you kidding me? More leaves were raked....hand raked!
DeleteI think children should be allowed to choose their own clothing. who are we to tell what is right and what is wrong? Good for you for letting Miss V choose what is right for her!
ReplyDeleteHi Devon.....
DeleteYou are right!
Lissa used to pick her own outfits.....and she always looked cool! Hahaha!
Did you have a good weekend?
Hi Linda! I love those daffodils. Do you know the poem?
ReplyDeleteHi Blue!
DeleteNo I do not!
Do tell!
The smiles they give us are sweeter than honey. =) I think her outfit is great. blessings ~ tanna
