Crochet Completed....
Some of you may remember..."The Worlds Largest Afghan"...that I started LAST year in Florida...
It just got away from me...
My son spied it up in my office...
He liked the colours...
You can see in yesterdays post, that he has done his Living Room in Green...
SO...
With his birthday being tomorrow...
I thought...
This would be a good time for me to finish up this WIP as Amy likes to call it...
And give it to him for his birthday...
But...I also owed his cat...Buddy... a cat bed...so...
Why not make a matching cat bed?
Everything came out nice and chunky...
Will be nice and warm for next Winter...
My son sent me these 2 photos last night...
Buddy has given the cat bed his "seal of approval"...
How cute is that???
Isn't he a handsome guy!
Buddy is a Tuxedo cat...and he wears it with pride!!
Sweet dreams Buddy!!
Hope you are all having a great day...
Nicer weather today...but still that breeze...but sunny!! YAY!!
Omelettes are on the menu tonight...easy for the cook ♥️
Enjoy the rest of your day...
Cheers! :o)

ReplyDeleteWarmed up today, after Lady Sunshine kicked Old Man Winter in the nards.
Now it's bright, sunny and my clothes hanging outside, are nearly done.
Wishing you the best night ahead with a great big side of boogie boogie.
It was a nice day here as well, Ivy!
DeleteEnjoy your evening too!

Hi Eddie.....
DeleteAnd.....lucky me!
A fabulous son.....♥️
You and b/f brought him up well or as a dear passenger of mine would say, "He chose his parents well" . . . :)
Delete:o)
DeleteEvery stitch..spells ..
ReplyDeleteLOVE.
Awwwww...thanks Monique....:o)
DeleteLove the colours and chunky-ness. Boy, Buddy sure has claimed that for his own! He looks very pleased with himself, indeed.
ReplyDeleteHe is so regal looking, no?
DeleteWe had babysat him a few times....when my son worked on a movie in Montreal for 3 months....
But....a couple of years ago, Buddy became a diabetic....and I am not a needle person.....AT ALL!
So.....no more babysitting....:o/
Awww. I miss my fur therapy too. There used to be several I cat-sat but they have all gone to meet their Cat Maker.
DeleteA very nice gift and it goes so well with your son's style! Buddy loves his bed! He'll curl up nicely in that...perfect!
ReplyDeleteI know! Fantastic,eh?
DeleteBuddy resembles your Socks!

ReplyDeleteand i'm with ryan... i LOVE those colors! when I was 7 i wanted my bedroom to have wall paper i picked out...

Ha! I will tell Buddy that you think he is fat! Hahaha!
DeleteHe is a very large cat....and full of personality!
Did you get the wallpaper?
I'm pea green with envy over your talent - yep, I said it! Gosh, that is so nice. I'll take mine with a pink stripe rather than green, (smile).
ReplyDeleteGlad you're finally getting some decent weather. I'm going to have an episode fest tonight with Netflix... then sleep late. A-Z is almost over!!
Hey Dixie...it will look great at his place....
DeleteWhat are you watching on Netflix?
Such a talented lady! The photo of Buddy made me think of my daughter's two cats. When I visit, they always spend a few minutes checking me out. Finally lovely weather, yay! My BF made salmon and grilled veggies on the BBQ, very yummy. Take care...
ReplyDeleteHi Hester!
ReplyDeleteI ran into Nadia with her sweet Mom, up at the mall today...she said she has not been to fitness, as she has been sick.
I was sporting my new glasses that I picked up today!
I want your BF to make me dinner!
It was a great day....
Yes, I've been saving floor space for both you and Nadia, ha, ha. You made me giggle about my BF, it's about the only thing that he'll do....BBQ! :)
DeleteP.S. Post a photo of you and your new glasses, please...
DeleteHahaha! Maybe......maybe....
DeleteI've caught up on your posts-Yay! What a great party for your son and daughter. The food looks outstanding. I can't help but notice that Miss V is growing taller and taller. The last pic of her and her huge beautiful eyes is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great crocheter you are. I love these colors and I think it was so clever to make a little cat bed as well. I love tuxedo kitties. Some have said my little pup Layla looks like a tuxedo dog! lol! Good for you in getting back to your project in time for your guy's birthday! :)
The lakehouse is moving very slowly. Waiting for an engineer to inspect that the the place is stable before work can begin. Grrrr...I have settled finally on the fact that there will be no summer there whatsoever. Thanks for asking, dear.
Jane xxx
Hi Jane...
DeleteMiss V is growing like a weed!
Sorry about your cottage...so sad to miss an entire summer there :o(
Will visit you....
I remember when you started that afghan! I love that cat bed.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I finally finished it!! and that it went to a good home!
DeleteIsn't Buddy handsome!!
That is a beautiful afghan! Your son is a lucky guy. And Buddy looks really handsome posing on his new bed. I wish I could crochet, it must be such fun!
ReplyDeleteIt can be quite relaxing...especially when you are making it up as you go!! hahaha!
DeleteSome patterns make you want to tear your hair out!
Beautiful modern colour combination, Linda, and a great gift. What a lucky pussy cat! x
ReplyDeleteMeow!!
DeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteI do wish my hands would cooperate more willingly whenever I take out some yarn and a hook.
I have a new granddaughter coming at the end of summer and all I have on hand is a blue afghan.
Maybe on those "recovery from working twelve hour days" days, I should sit and crochet.
:0)
Get crackin' on an afghan for your upcoming grandaughter...
DeleteNo pattern required!!
When do you start the 12 hour shifts??
My first twelve hour day was Tuesday (yesterday).
DeleteHi Linda!!!! Waving.
ReplyDeleteBuddy loves his bed. What a fun idea.
Hi Sandra!!
DeleteYes...I do think he does!!
