We got the grass cut and whipped...looked great!
Friday night rained...
Saturday morning raining...blowing...the waves were incredible...
I don't think I have ever seen them that high up the beach...
We puttered around inside...had some brunch...showered...
Headed home...around 4pm...
It was 9*C!!!! That is about 10 degrees below normal!
The shutters are still on the west side of the porch...
No annuals purchased...6 perennials {Mom's day gift} to be planted...
Geesh...
Sunday was hideous!! Hail....snow...winds...cold...brrrrrr!
Okay...enough of the weather rant...I feel better now...
Today is the same wind and cold...

I hope you all had a nice weekend...
I cannot wait to get back to the cottage on Thursday...

Love seeing all your pictures!
ReplyDeleteThis weekend should be warmer. Don't work too hard😉
I need to! I love working in the garden! :o)
DeleteLOL..snowed here at 9.30 this AM..
ReplyDeleteOY.
Your unfurling ferns look shy:) Love that pic..
Lunaria blooms early! You will have so much money!!
Pretty pretty pics..we had Sat.nice enough to groom some gardens and mow..but yikes..since yesterday cold and windy..brought lots of stuff in..Thank goodness they will be ok.
I will be rolling in the dough! Hahaha!
DeleteFriday was our best day...after that...downhill!
Looking forward to the long weekend! You got plans?
Planting:)
DeleteWe barely had a dusting of snow all winter which isn't good because we have no snowpack for the summer months. It is going to be a dry, dry summer.
ReplyDeleteI thought you had lots of rain?
DeleteAll the green and flowers are pretty! Love those little fern curls!
ReplyDeleteCold here, too...frost on the ground this morning! I stayed in all day with my
slippers and socks on! Brr.
Oh me too! Did some laundry...but I did get out for a walk with my boyfriend!
DeleteOh...and 2 crochet projects on the go! :o)
DeleteLovely flowers. I had hoped for sunshine for Martha...but it was overcast when she got here. However, that's better than the cold she's coming from. She arrived safe, and look forward to some girlfriend time. She's taking a nap right now...got up at 3 this morning. Rest and Relaxation...that's the menu for this week. Oh we are having pulled pork and cold slaw on sourdough for dinner. Gotta eat!!!
ReplyDeletehugs.
Napping? Awwwww....give her a hug from me....and one for you too ♥️
DeleteHave a wonderful time....
You sure do have some pretty flowers at the cottage, Linda! I love how you've planted hostas in the tin basket.
ReplyDeleteI put a lot of Perennials in containers, Laurie...easier to keep track of out there, in my wild gardens!!
DeleteNice pictures Linda!
ReplyDeleteHI Furry...
DeleteThanks!!
It's supposed to be rainy and cool all long weekend here in Edmonton, but where the rain is needed more is in Fort McMurray of course. I don't think they're going to get as much though.
ReplyDeleteI see there is still a lot of danger out there...
DeleteLook at all the beauty! Those look like fiddleheads in the top pic. Love the curls.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't you just love how wet stones look? I do!
I don't mind the cool weather as I hate the heat... but snow on May 15 was pushing it a bit!
Just Ferns Suzanne...I tried eating Fiddleheads once...not my cup of tea!
DeleteDon't mind the cool...it is that darn wind!!
Sunny and cool is fine with me!
Looks like spring has sprung at the cottage, well, at least a little bit. Too bad about the weather, though. I won't tell you how warm it was here...
ReplyDeleteNo...don't.........
DeleteAll the spring pretties are popping up Linda. You are reminding me so much of my DDs house - even those same ferns along the side, forget-me-nots, and yellow tulips. I am telling tales, but my youngest grandson pulled up her first three yellow tulips, bulbs and all, during our skype session last week - just to show his Grannie! His mother was mighty unimpressed :) Hope the weather is wonderful for this coming weekend.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! How cute is that! Hoping for better weather...fingers crossed!
DeleteC'mon spring / summer! I truly hope this long weekend will show a change in the weather for the better. I didn't know you could keep hostas in a container like that! I love your hydrangea header, Linda. Such beautiful colours. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of Hostas in containers,Jenn...they do very well...
DeleteGonna be nice...I can feel it...right?
Thanks for noticing the header ♥️
Everything looks so lush and beautiful there, Linda. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb...that is the best part of Spring,eh?
DeleteThis BF has hostas planted in our garden, will have to show him the photo of yours in the container. Lovely photos, as always. Glad you didn't let Devon boast about the west coast balmy weather, ha, ha. Have a good week, LSK. :)
ReplyDeleteThey do great in containers! I have quite a few like that! Get him busy! hahaha!
DeleteThat weather was a bit wild wasn't it! The hosta looks great and your unfurling fern is going to be lovely too isn't it!
ReplyDeleteHorrible weather...getting better!
Deleteso beautiful cc girl. even on those "yukky" days!
ReplyDeleteit's cool here too which is amazing.
almost like an autumn day. only of course i'm loving it. :)
Hope you don't get any more tornadoes...for a while anyway!
DeleteThat looks a sounds miserable, Linda. We had it yesterday and today we had some sunshine but still coolish. Hopefully it will be a nice weekend for the holiday. I'm looking forward to having Murray home for 4 days! He's in Winnipeg this week.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the long weekend!!
DeleteFriday probably looks warmer than it was ~ you seem to be restoring order to the garden ~ it looks lovely with the green lawn and budding trees. Must have been interesting with the high waves ~ I expect you felt like you were Queen Canute . . . lol
ReplyDeleteHappy time . . :)
Hi Eddie...
DeleteYes...looks warmer with the sunshine...this weekend is more promising!
Not sure who Queen Canute is????
King Canute tried to stop the waves by commanding them to recede . . . they didn't so he got wet . . . lol
