What A Great Family Day At The Cottage.......
Sunday started out bright and sunny...although a bit windy!!
Miss V and her Mom arrived first...
Miss V ran right into the garden shed, to get her bucket and shovel...
Down she went to the beach...not much sand this week...
But...plenty of rocks!!
She LOVES throwing rocks into the water!!
it was a brisk westerly wind...which kept gusting to south...brrrr!
I took these shots from the comfort of some shelter...and a comfy chair!!
Then...it was time to head inside for some lunch...
Peanut Butter and apple slices for Miss V...
Egg Salad for Erika and I...homemade beef soup for the boyfriend...
It was nice and warm inside...love that furnace!!
After our lunch...Erika and her Dad went into town...Miss V and I stayed behind...
We went outside again...but the wind was getting pretty nipply, and it felt like rain...
Thanks goodness we put the cushions away, 'cause there was a brief rainstorm!
We busied ourselves inside...and waited for the others to arrive!!
Auntie Lissa...Uncle Jeff...and Uncle Ryan all arrived! We sat inside...and had quite a lovely afternoon....No cooking for me....everyone brought their own snacks and drinks...after they left, Boyfriend and I had a Ceasar Salad...crispy chicken thighs and roast veggies...
I was pooped!!
i received such lovely thoughtful gifts...a very very nice day indeed!!
Thank you all for your comments on my last post...
I enjoyed looking at the old photos and writing a short story about my Mom ♥️
Here is a picture of me with my two daughters and of course Miss V...
I can hardly believe how big she is getting...and so funny and smart, too ♥️
I sure hope you all had a great weekend...and got to spend some time with the ones you love...I did...and it feels wonderful ♥️
Enjoy the rest of your day...
Cheers! :o)

Beautiful photo of the gorgeous women in your family. I just knew you would all get together at the cottage. Miss V is so lucky growing up with a cottage to visit all the time. I had a lovely day, brunch with family, lovely gifts and chat with family out west.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Linda...it was a fun day! Sounds like you had fun too!
DeleteI love reading your blog, especially when you have lots of pictures. I will only say that the picture of the three generations is priceless and so very, very happy you were all together to share the day! Linda
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda...glad you dropped by!
DeleteA lovely three-generation photo! Miss V better be careful though. She might raise the lake's water level with all those stones she throws in!
ReplyDeleteShe asked her Papa where the beach was! I wish for a sandy beach for her♥️
DeleteHappy Mother's Day, Linda. xo
ReplyDeleteAnd to you Barbara....♥️
DeleteSounds like a great weekend even if it was chilly. Family being there brought lots of warmth I'm sure. And the furnace! :) It is so cold here today. Wind howling and blowing stuff around the deck. Snow. Just miserable. Warming up more tomorrow and through the week. Have a good one!
ReplyDeleteSnow? Yikes! I think there are a few frost warnings around Ontario......Geesh!
DeleteHope you had a wonderful day....
Glad everyone near to your heart shared your special day . . . Miss V looks very lively. I used to love throwing stones in the water as well . . . . shimming them and making them bounce . . . :)
