Progress On The Sunporch.....

Everything is going well on the sunporch re-model...

But...I must say...

I am a bit concerned at the state of my gardens, surrounding the porch... right now...

I guess Dustin is not as "tidy" a worker as our Lloyd is...

The pic to the right is part of the lawn!!!! OMG...

Whenever Lloyd has been there doing some work...

We don't even know he has been there...

Until...we are...like.."oh look...Lloyd has been here"...

And that project is fixed and done....

Or built....

Or painted...

I guess every tradesperson has their own "style" of work habits...

He is supposed to be putting all of the wood on the beach for the bonfire...

"Get Crackin' Dustin"....just kidding...well...not really...

I hate when the gardens and lawn get all ripped up like this...

But...

I guess...more work in the spring...a bit of soil...some grass seed..

A little bit of raking....

And...

Everything will be as good as new.....RIGHT????

Could Dustin be any taller???? Here he is talking to Lloyd and my boyfriend...

Lloyd in the shades...boyfriend with hat...

Dustin.....big tall guy...tee hee hee...

And here is me...back at the beach...this big stone still here...but...

The round Beach Well from last week.......gone......

Pretty rough...as it was a S/W wind...

But...

Lake still not frozen...just a bit of ice on the big rocks...

I am sure the temps this week will change all of that...

Perhaps some ice near the shoreline...

But the fabulous addition to my beach deck looks great...this shot gives you a better idea of how the Miscanthus Grass surrounds it...it will be like being out in the jungle...or something...Love being nestled into the landscaping...that is always my goal when I garden...

Hope you are all having a great day....

        And staying warm!!!!

         On the menu tonight...

               Roast Pork...with roasted onions

Roast potatoes..[guess you have noticed...I am a potato freak]

                    Rosebud beets...brussell sprouts

All smothered in a nice thick gravy...

Enjoy the rest of your day..

                   Cheers!    :o)

  1. The lake sure does look cold. The progress on the sun porch looks good. The gardens and lawn ... well, why not wait till spring arrives and see how they grow.
    Still cold, cold, cold here.

  2. The work really is coming along! I know what you mean, though, about the difference in workers...some are very neat and others are messy. Hopefully the yard will easily come back together.

Yes....tidy workers and messy workers...Dustin builds homes, so I guess there is the diference...Lloyd is a handyman...small odd jobs...
      I love brussels...my boyfriend hates them..hahaha..

  3. This may seem silly, but what gravy do you use??? I see you always have gravy with stuff and I LOVE gravy. I know Ikea uses tinned gravy and add half and half to it for their meatballs. Franco American?

    1. Yes...thanks Leslie..the progress at the cottage is going well....oh...okay...sorry...hahaha...
I either use chicken or beef broth in the pan and thicken with velotine...or the easy peasy way is with Club House pouch fat free less sodium gravy mix...comes in lots of flavors..just enough for 2 people...

  4. The new sunporch is going to look so good you won't even notice the downtrodden grass, which will spring back to life in the spring anyway!

  5. Hello Linda

Don't worry about the tidying up, check out a good egg I have found.
The blog "Aesthetic Nest" has wonderful crochet projects just like yours. May come in handy for future Vivian projects.
Just thought I would share! Keep warm and cosy!!
