In our last home in the US, we had bird feeders outside in the garden and cardinals and wee little birds would squabble all day over the bird seed. I even had a hummingbird come around a couple of times. The way I carried on, you would think the Queen stopped by :)
ReplyDeleteI look forward to bird feeders and hummingbirds again, although we have many hummingbirds here in the parks.
Can I have Vivian please ? or do I have to get my own ? :)
No you can't........get your own!!! hahaha...
DeleteHave you stopped waking Vivian up from her naps? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI keep peeking in...she is so busy when awake, she is POOPED!!! Much like her Grandma!! So......did you notice the BIRDS???? BIRDIE!!!
DeleteI did notice. And the squirrel too but Vivian is still my favourite visitor to your blog.
DeleteGlad to see you came back to check the comments!!!!
DeleteI like to keep you on your toes!!!
haha...well...you have to admit, he is a very cute squirrel! :)
ReplyDeletelove your supper...casual, cozy comfort food!
I still don't get as many sparrows as you, Betsy!!!!
DeleteWill try and take a photo of the soup....it really tastes awesome!!!
Cute pics of the squirrel and the cardinal. My friend down the road had 4 pairs of cardinals in her yard today! I was in town most of the day so I hope I didn't miss them. I'll be watching the feeders tomorrow for sure. I've only ever seen one female cardinal here years ago.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen 4 pairs together....perhaps they will visit you tomorrow!!!
DeleteWe have had a flock of starlings at the feeders ... certainly worse than sparrows. They devour everything in sight.
ReplyDeleteLove the cardinals, both male and female have been visiting. We feed them safflower seed, not too many other birds like that.
We had light snow most of the day, some has settled and at least the dirty snowbanks look white for awhile.
Starlings are worse than Sparrows...for sure...I only get them in the fall, when they eat the berries on my Ivy....Where do you get the safflower seed??? I have never heard of that....I will look it up!!
DeleteHMMM! Whats getting back into the swing of things.....
ReplyDeleteStarted knitting some mitts, working on valentines projects....etc...etc...
Is that getting back into the swing of things.
Had dinner out at Captain Georges...Fish and Chips....
You know...day to day...remembering what day it is!!! How nice that you do Valentines crafts...love fish and chips!!
DeleteThe Cardinals are always a highlight in my day! Love them - so bright and cheerful!
ReplyDeleteHi Martha....
DeleteYou are from Betsy's blog, right?
Thanks for coming by...
I love the cardinals as well..
Martha and I like to keep everyone confused. :)
Delete(Yes, she is from Betsy's blog.)
I figured that out....YOU are my regular Martha!!!!
DeleteFunny how you both have your hubbies in your photos!!!
Love the cardinals! Squirrels, though a nuisance, do provide a certain amount of entertainment. I'm still thinking perhaps we need a few extra bird feeders just outside Mom's window.
ReplyDeleteYes they do!!! I must admit...
DeleteThe bird feeders outside your Mom's window would be a great touch..
Hours of entertainment!!!
I love Red's antics!
ReplyDeleteMe too!!!!
DeleteExcept when he came in my bathroom this summer!!!!
