On this dark, wet, gloomy last day of September.... |
I decided to grab my camera...and head outside...to see my garden... |
My Geraniums are all ready to come inside...all in fresh pots... |
To flower gloriously for a few more months...and then take a long nap... |
To share their beauty once again next summer... |
My basket of Begonias is still going strong...beautiful as ever... |
I think that they deserve to come in for the winter as well... |
How can I say no to that face??? :o) |
This cutie is on it's third season...happy in a pot with a burgundy spike...will spend another winter beside me and the computer... |
Second flush of deep pink Phlox in the front garden... |
"See you all next season...I am going to be nice and warm inside!" |
tee hee hee.....

Off to see the Dr tomorrow...
Get rid of this sore throat...I sounded like Darth Vader today!!
Hope you all had a great day...
Hope to see the sun tomorrow....

Looking forward to a warm...sunny October....:o)
What did you all do today????
Cheers! :o)

You still have lots of pretty blooms Linda. I dug out some old barn boards from the shed, finally! And I dug out some of the iris that were too crowded and growing into the lawn. Murray mowed and mulched some of the leaves that have fallen. There are thousands more to come though. It was a gorgeous day again. Loving this weather.
ReplyDeleteI should do that with my Iris as well...oh....if only I had only one garden!
DeleteSO glad you are having great weather!
Uh Oh, doctor appointment? Hope you'll be soon feeling better.
ReplyDeleteLovely garden shots, Linda. I took my scented geraniums in a few weeks ago but the phlox and begonias are still going strong. I did so much work this weekend and yet there is so much more to do:) Hope you're feeling better real soon, rest...
I have never heard of scented geraniums! How lovely!
DeleteThanks for the kind thoughts!
The scented geraniums I grow are not related to the geraniums you have pictured Linda. You really should look into finding them though, YOU would love them! They come in all kinds of flavors too. Rose , Strawberry, and even Chocolate. I did a post about them a while back. Let me know if you would like to take a look at it. If not, do a search on google for Pelargoniums. I once baked a pound cake with scented geranium leaves and it was amazing!!! (I believe they are in the mint family but don't quite me on that. I would gladly share a clipping with you if you can't find them:)
DeleteI will look that up, Louise!
DeleteI don't think they will let us ship plants over the border...but, thanks!
Whoops, that's probably true Linda. Good Luck finding the info. It's readily available.
DeleteBeautiful! My begonia came in last winter and is at it's peak right now outside. I think I'll invite him in for the winter again! :)
ReplyDeletefeel better! I had a sore throat last week....today's the first day I feel 100%.
I want to see a picture of him/her!!!
DeleteHope the Dr can give me something.....
Luke...I am your mother. Haha. I'm sorry you're still sick, I hope you're feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteOh you are the funny one Jennifer...in your cute little hat!!!
DeleteI am going to make one of those!! :o)
Linda is a wonderful gardener!
ReplyDeleteCould you hear them too, Birdie???
DeleteThey are always saying nice things about me! hahaha!
Woke to rain but later in the afternoon it was lovely and sunny , I guess our rain came over east to you then . Wonderful photos . Hope you get something to help ease that sore throat . When I get a sore throat I sound like a fog horn lol Have a good evening !
ReplyDeleteYes...a fog horn...that's me too!
DeleteWe got a bit of sun...not too much!
I took Mom off to the doctor today and she had her nose cauterized. :0)
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are so pretty. We didn't get any rain today, just a little bit of overcast sky and then sunshine.
Hope you can throw off the Vader costume for October.
Well...I hope that will help her problem...:o)
DeleteOh...you are so funny Martha..perhaps I should keep the voice...and use it for the trick-or-treaters! ha!
Beautiful photos - still lots going on in the garden!
ReplyDeleteMary x
As it is in your garden, Mary.....thanks for visiting!
DeleteBeautiful! I like the raindrops on the flowers, it looks like they are having a wash prior to being brought indoors!
ReplyDeleteHi Tracey....thanks for stopping by! :o)
DeleteSweet Linda....imagine my delight and surprise when I went to my mailbox tonight and found your lovely card!
ReplyDeleteYou are so kind and thoughtful. And I absolutely loved the photo on the front. What I wouldn't give to sit there with you and chat away!!! Thank you so much for thinking of me. You are a kindred spirit. And I SO wish we didn't live on opposite sides of the continent!
Love you oodles!!!
Kris
PS Our whole house is down with a miserable cold. Coughing, sniffles, and all of that jazz. No fun. Feel better soon!!!!
No problem Kris....glad you enjoyed it!
DeleteWe are miserable here...off to the Dr this am...
Gonna fight this wretched cough!
Loving all your little pink flowers of different sorts Linda. Hope that your throat feels better soon, we can't have you going round doing star wars impressions can we! Take care of yourself and I hope you are back up to speed again as quickly as you can be. Amy xxx
ReplyDeleteGee....thanks Amy...I hope so too!!
DeleteSpent the day with mom and her doctor visits ... but weather was phenomenal so we stopped at the park by Grand Traverse Bay and watched the HUGE clouds float by for a little while. Gorgeous weather here ... loving it! Your flower pictures AMAZE me ... you are a gifted photographer and thanks for sharing that gift with us! Feel better soon! Linda
ReplyDeleteI love cloud watching...picking out shapes...
DeleteThanks for your kind words...I do love taking pictures!
I plan to feel better...SOON!!!
I would have loved to have been in the garden today to see the last of the colour but everything is being pruned now and I was at work. So instead I looked at the garden out of my work window in the shadow of the Cathedral... with someone else doing the pruning! Great photos Linda, and enjoy October x
ReplyDeleteHow romantic, Chel!
DeleteI always think of Britain as very old fashioned, quaint, and comfy!
