What a busy day I had!!!
Just taking a few minutes to post this...
No wonder they call it Miracle Gro!!!
This Violet was on its last legs about a month ago...
SO.... I gave him a Miracle Gro transfusion...and look at that!
Even his leaves are looking rather vibrant, eh??
Think his flowers will be purple with white ruffly edges....nice♥️
Will try and track his progress...
Ok...back to my busy day...
Picked Miss V up at 10:30...
Did the groceries with her...very helpful!! Even bought her 2 wee cute pumpkins...loves them!!
Then to Walmart for a few odds and ends...
Lunch....book reading...naptime...
While she was napping I made fried rice and a green pepper/mushroom/tomato sauce for some boneless chicken filets...
Snuck outside for a while to snap a few photos...
When she awoke...snack...Papa home...we all went for a lovely long walk...
With her "bike" of course...the sun actually came out!!!
I got some lovely photos with the sun out...no time to upload...another post!!
Back home...prepared the chicken which had been bathing in buttermilk...
Covered with Panko and Parmesan cheese...into the oven...
Bathtime....a real laugh...hair dried..."NEW" housecoat on..{more on that later}
Suppertime...didn't eat much...very fussy eater...
Now she is reading with Papa...while I came up here to do this...
Such a sweetie pie...but I am pooped...again!!
Hope you all had a great day...
Weather was so humid and damp...about an hour of sun...
It was nice while it lasted...
I managed to get one pic from today up here for you...
My Cabbage in my front planter...still dripping from the rain and humidity...
Enjoy your evening...
What's cookin' in your kitchen tonight??
Cheers!
linda :o)
You did have a busy day! We need sun, too! Maybe tomorrow. Those cabbages with the purple veins are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe had chicken minestrone...delish...and best of all, it was leftover from yesterday so it was a no cooking day for me!
Aren't those the best days?
ReplyDeleteLeftovers rock!
I love your macro shots of the violet and the cabbage. Sounds like you had a nice day with Miss V.

You will love it Jane!
DeleteSO different with a grandchild...more fun!♥️
Busy is good - sometimes - days like these (busy) deserve a nice warm cup of tea at the end of the day (decaf) go prop feet up and sip ahhhh!
ReplyDeleteGreat advice Marisa...will remember that for next time!
DeleteEnjoy your weekend....
Some days go by in a blur don't they?
ReplyDeleteOur dinner was lentil daal on a bed of baby spinach, with flatbread and mint chutney.

Fancy!
DeleteBusy, busy, busy ... but you wouldn't have it any other way. It's a bit cooler today, overcast. We are out on the hunt for some red dogwood branches for my winter greenery pots. Darned if we can remember where we saw lots of them last year :)
ReplyDeleteHa!
DeleteYou need a pad and paper to write these things down!
I am the same way....I see another drive on the horizon...looking for dogwood!
Have a great weekend!
Sounds like a pretty nice day to me! We are finally enjoying some cooler weather. Loving it. And I am hunkered down in my new sewing room, and loving that too!!!

DeleteWhew, lately, I seem to be a day late in catching up with you. Glad that you had Miss V. Have a lovely weekend at the cottage. Just preparing for our blended families for a belated Thanksgiving lunch here tomorrow. Kids, grandkids, a couple of dogs...it'll be busy and fun. :) Take care and be happy...

DeleteHome this evening.....still blustery out there. :o(
But.....the furnace is all working! We were toasty yesterday:o)
Hope you had fun with the family♥️
I over-watered the Wandering Jew in my topless teapot and it was looking fairly well drunk. Thankfully I was able to pour much of the water out the teapot spout. I think it's going to make a full recovery. At least I hope so.
ReplyDelete:0)
The wanderer will be fine! Hahaha!
DeleteQuite a transformation on the Violet.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a nice day with little Miss V . . . :)
Love your violet. Mine is looking a little peaked so I think I will try Miracle Gro too. Thanks for the tip. No wonder you are tired. You had quite a full day with Miss V!
ReplyDeleteYes....try the miracle gro....it is a magic elixir!
DeleteIs that an African Violet, Linda? My Mum used to grow those in a large bottle and they looked great.
