Out My Front Door.....
We have not seen any sun here since last Monday, when Miss V enjoyed her bike...
Yesterday...
I stuck my face out the front door...and knew I had to take some pics of my beautiful waxy begonias♥️
They are looking as perky as the day I planted them...
Such an incredibly long lasting...easy to grow...hardy...
glorious flower!
Can't say enough about them...
Do you grow them in your gardens or containers??
We are at the gate to the backyard...
The Ivy is turning RED in certain spots...how curious!
If I were take you thru the gate...you would find more wonderful waxy begonias...
Smiling their sweet little faces off...
But...
No...
Not today...
You will have to wait....tee hee hee!
DEB was asking about my loaves...or cakes...
So...here is a shot of one...
Before going in the oven...
Doesn't that look gooood?!
My boyfriend and I had a piece yesterday afternoon...
With a nice cup of coffee...sorry...no tea today!
I sure do miss my tea buddy Devon...
All the way out in beautiful BC...
Luv 'ya Devon♥️ This ones for you!
Hope you are all having a great day....
At least the sun is shining today....very humid and sticky...
much better than last nights fog and drizzle....
We are off to the cottage...supposed to rain tonight and turn very chilly tomorrow...10*C!!!!
Perhaps we will be home tomorrow...
The furnace is in place, but not connected yet...very excited about that!
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend...
See you later!
Cheers! :o)

beautiful photos, have a wonderful week end, even though it will be wet!!
ReplyDeleteYes....it was wet! And darn windy!
DeleteSo lovely cake:)))
ReplyDeleteIt is very good.....I must say!
DeleteI love begonias too. Also impatiens!!! Your ivy is so pretty! I am jealous about you getting that nice cold weather at the cottage!!!
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
Jealous? Come on Kris....have you really ever experienced a COLD winter?
DeleteWe are talking COLD......not a bot on the cool side!
But...not yet....lots of time for that!
Your wax begonias are still so pretty. I find the annuals are lasting beautifully this year here. It's a gorgeous sunny warm day here today but showers and rain for the weekend. I doubt we'll be having a bonfire unless it's to burn more weeds. I hope next weekend is better, Thanksgiving and all, so we can enjoy outside one last time. Stay warm and cozy at the cottage. Hugs. Pam
ReplyDeleteHi Pam....
DeleteWe stayed warm and cosy Friday night.....but headed home yesterday afternoon!
I hope Thanksgiving is nice too! But......I think it will be cool!
I've got some begonias in pots, need to move them out from the side of the house so they get some rain tonight. It is getting really windy here now, in fact we took the canvas roof off the gazebo as it was blowing around so much. Enjoy the weekend, hope it doesn't rain that much.
ReplyDeleteOh it did! And colossal winds!
DeleteThink I'll make some potato leek soup today.....delish!
It is funny how different our weather is and we are only a few hours south west of you lol we have had sun up until early this afternoon then windy as heck and rainy lol ! Wonderful photos . Oh that cake looks soo YUMMY ! Thanks for sharing , Have a good weekend !
ReplyDeleteIt was the same as you at the cottage! Sunny all the way....then the wind and rain!
DeleteAt home....we had fog and mist all week!
Your cake looks so delicious!!! We are due for a change in weather this weekend too, it has been so warm, but is due to cool down. xx
ReplyDeleteHere too.....quite a shock actually!
DeleteEspecially for the leaves!
Just catching up on a few days of your lovely photos and chatty blogs. Love today's "B's." That's baking and begonias! And your photos of your family's visit to the cottage. Drove up for a visit with my daughter and grandkids northeast of Toronto this afternoon, but the drive wasn't fun in the rain. Brought them home made shepherd's pie and left a piece for the boyfriend who stayed at home doing his busy stuff. Have a nice weekend and keep warm. :)
ReplyDeleteI made shepherds pie on Monday! Great minds!
DeleteAs I post this it's raining cats and dogs. That cake looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteNot cats AND dogs?! Hahaha!
DeleteThe cake is very yummy....indeed!
I could dive head-first into that fruit loaf... YUM!
ReplyDeleteHahaha Suza!
DeleteYou would be covered in berries!
We've had sun all week, today the rains came...the fire is burning...dinner is in the oven, and it's FRIDAY!
ReplyDeleteJane x
YAY FOR FRIDAY! What was in the oven pray tell?
DeleteWe've had fog and drizzle today, too! Our furnace is connected by not our oven and sink! haha.
ReplyDeleteSend me a piece of that bread! But put it on a paper plate so I don't have to wash another dish...lol....
Oh dear....it will be over soon, Betsy!
DeleteI have mailed a slice....watch for it!
I, too, grow begonias. Love em! I think tomorrow I will photograph what's left in my back-yard garden just for you, Linda. Oh my goodness, that loaf looks fantastic. BUT...I would have to have it with tea. I could never replace your long-time friend, Devon, but I sure wish I lived close enough to drop by for a cuppa and some of that loaf cake. We have had beautiful weather the last few days; lots of sun. Tomorrow the rain comes. Hope you enjoy your weekend at the cottage. Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteOh.....me too Deb.....hey, it is only about what.....4 hours? Get in the car!
DeleteIt was soggy to say the least!
Did I see you over Eddies?
DeleteWe've had rain all day today but I love it because it's Halloween weather, and that makes me soooo happy. Though sun makes me happy too, right now I'm groovin' on the spooky weather.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see your bake.
Groove on, Ivy!
DeleteWas a nice weekend. Sunny today but burrr cold. Had to have the heat on.
Deletehad to catch up on the last three posts!
ReplyDeletei left a comment and it wouldn't take. then i got a notice ... "you've been disconnected from the network."
it does that on this thing a least 3 times a day. so aggravating!
maybe the cardiologist put a built-in timer on my computer to stop my sitting here so long. LOLOL.
i'm so glad all the family had such a wonderful time.
