A New Way To Present Gifts.....

 I came up with...

What I thought...

Was a great way to  "wrap" the gifts this year...

Everyone always needs more storage containers...

And I thought..that...these..

Were perfect!

They are quite attractive on their own...

And can be used for many things afterwards...

Miss V's is the one that says "MINE"....

"cause she says that a lot!  hahaha!

Cat toys for all...

And even some wheat free doggie treats for Lola...

And how easy is that to get your gifts home after the big day??

I sure hope my kids like them...I do!!

Some more decorating around the house...

Really starting to feel like Christmas...I am getting excited...A wee bit of sun today...YIPPEE!

Here was my lunch today...

tuna salad on lettuce...

few cherry tomatoes...

1/2 an apple...

Need to lose a few lbs before Florida...

Every wee bit counts, right??

My White Kalanchoe is looking...

Well...

SPECTACULAR!!

I really LOVE these plants!
Guess who sent me a Christmas card???

                       Isn't he a cheeky devil...♥️

Hope you are all having a great productive day...

Got my table set for Christmas...just a few finishing touches...

I guess the Shortbread is on the agenda for next week...

Miss V has been napping since 1pm...and it is now 3:23!!!

                             She must have been pooped!

Gonna go for a walk when she wakes up...not windy today, so not as cold...

Tonight  will be rack of lamb baked with a dijon mustard and cracked pepper crust...

                          Wild rice...asparagus...Greek Salad...

                                         Can hardly wait!!

Enjoy the rest of your day....and your weekend....any plans?? parties??dinners??

We are fortunate enough to at dining at a friends  home tomorrow evening...

Looking forwad to catching up with them...

                    Cheers!  :o)

  1. Oh you are too cute with your bucket idea! Love it! Always.....something to put into that empty bucket!! Looks like Santa may have dropped in already. Don't tell me you had a pre-visit with the old fella and shared a wine or beer with him!!!

  2. I started doing the bags, container, baskets, when I had to travel to three different homes on Christmas day. It is a brilliant idea! I also color coordinated them: red for one house, green for another... I might do stripes or plaids... anything to keep me straight!
I love the photo of the tree with the balls in the foreground. I also am impressed by RED'S card!!
Lunch looks good - sorry to miss that one! I'll see you again, Linda!!

Luckily they all come here....no travelling for me!
I have made name tags, just didn't put them on yet!
Red sure surprised me with that card! Hahaha!
      Merry Christmas!

  3. Hey Linda - wow, your home looks beautiful for Christmas. You obviously love the season and put your heart and soul in it. I like the idea of the storage bins. It will make it easier to take things home and they become another beautiful gift. Good idea. You sure do have intelligent squirrels in your neck of the woods. Imagine him sending out Christmas cards. I imagine he 'delivered it' to the door, right? I saw my little red bandit at our lot today and all he did was steal some food and give me the thumbs up. Give V a big hug for me. Deb

  4. Love the bucket idea ... clever!! We have a "Red" in our backyard creating HAVOC with our bird feeders ... it's war between him and the hubby ... which is entertainment in itself! Braised lamb shanks with root veggies on the menu at our house tonight ... great minds run alike, I guess? Hard to believe Christmas is less than a week away! Linda

  7. The container idea is excellent! There is always so much stuff to haul around at Christmas. This makes it a little easier.

Red is a very thoughtful little squirrel. Incidentally, the times I have been in Ontario I could not believe the amount of them! I see maybe one every two weeks where I live.

  15. What a darling little squirrel, Linda. Your tree looks beautiful, and the bucket idea is fantastic. I wish I'd thought of that, I have gifts in boring boxes to tote about on Christmas day. They look so festive sitting under your tree. Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year, and I am glad I made another blog friend in Canada this year - sort of connects me to my daughter over there in a funny way :)

The Tote idea is fabulous...do you think if I put one out marked 'JANE', someone will fill it with fabulously wrapped gifts like yours?

  17. That is a super idea for 'wrapping' the gifts Linda! Your tree is beautiful! Now isn't that sweet of Red!! lol I've been watching for a white kalanchoe. I rather like them. My tiny pink one hasn't bloomed for months but is still growing green and still in the teeny tiny 2" pot. Should I re-pot it? And perhaps I should fertilize it?? Enjoy the weekend. Pam

    1. I never repot mine....fertilizing would be good...or perhaps top up the soil with some miracle gro soil....that stuff is magical!
      Enjoy your weekend!

  20. Love the totes - I have several that I use for different things and they are so handy. Now isn't that Red clever? He is certainly courting your favour. Hee hee. I am enjoying the sun today. Escaped the relentless noise of the Christmas Market and visited a friend last night. Her husband and one of her sons was home too so we had a great time. Lots of good food, good conversation and... chocolate!!!

  21. I love your idea, but I went to Walmart and bought plain old cardboard boxes for less than a dollar each. I'll cover them with pretty paper and see if I can fill them up and make them look pretty. Stay tuned.
