Miss V jumped out of the car...and made her way to the deck...
It was covered with stones from the strong winds the week before...
Papa helped her down to the beach...
You can see all of our wood pile has been shifted...
And all kinds of debris washed up...
Must have been some windstorm!!
After he helped her down...he went to pick up some branches that had come down...
"Papa...Come!"
She picked up some stones as soon as she put her feet down!!
Papa returned...and helped her down to the water!
What a great arm she has...I even caught the stone in flight!
Another one!!
She spotted Papa gathering the branches...
Up we went...she took off like a shot...
To help him take the branches to the beach!!
Next we go inside...
She wanted to go straight upstairs...
"Hi Monster"...hahaha!
She was afraid of this last Summer...but now...she likes him!
Another creation of my talented spooky son!!
Early highschool I think...don't have the heart to throw him away!!
She found her beloved bike♥️
Then made a tent with the outdoor cushions!!
See her wee feet sticking out!!
She did not want to leave her bike...but we promised she could come back soon and visit!
And...we had to go and get some lunch!
She certainly enjoyed her cottage visit!
It wasn't cold...but very damp...
You know the bone chilling kind of cold??
Sang Rudolph...had lunch...
Delivered her home to her Mommy...

Supposed to get colder by New Years Eve...
Ruins our plans of spending the night out there...will be too cold...even with the furnace :o(
We have made reservations for dinner out...will be very nice!!

DeleteLove the last photos of Miss V, you sure can see how she is changing and growing up. We had a fair bit of sun today but it was cooler, had a nice afternoon visit with a friend, tea and gossip, I mean tea and chat :) I'm off to wind a skein of lovely soft alpaca yarn, was going to make socks but might make a cozy scarf after wearing the one I made last year.

I have been very bad for the last three days and Saturday and Sunday I spent most of the day in bed ~ I felt dreadful and felt like I had been hit with a sledgehammer. Plus that wretched leg ulcer has come back but I visited the doctor today and we are on to it. Managed to drive the bus today . . . just . . . .
DeleteThere is a very nasty virus going around . . . a middle aged lady next door was so bad she was rushed of to hospital. Whenever the temperature dives it always goes for my chest. Also I usually function better when I have warm hands . . . whenever they are cold I go into screensaver mode. I would be hopeless in Canada.

Miss V melts my heart each time I see her styling in her adorable outfits, and how she love her gramma and papa. Seeing her and Martha's little ones, makes me miss our little Tristan in Oregon so much. Those boots on Miss V ~ to die for. Wishing you a Very Wonderful New Year.

Love the tale of Miss V at the cottage. What a sweet outfit and very co-ordinated. She has such a warm relationship with you both - so loving and comfortable... and fun! Boy, looks like a big storm with all that debris. I saw a few moments of sun this morning but then it vanished. Sooooooo grey. Alas. Hope you and the boyfriend are rallying. We just celebrated Christmas yesterday because both my parents and I felt lousy on Christmas day. Had a lovely, quite time there yesterday. Chatting and eating... and repeat!

I know Miss V is a joy to have along with you and she is getting cuter by the day (if that's possible as she already is so pretty!). That water looks really, really cold but I imagine it wasn't so bad considering the stone throwing adventure!

No NYE plans here but I do have a lot of great cheeses and other goodies as well as lot's of wine from over the holidays. :)
