  2. Very pretty, Linda. We sure can use the colours. It is drab here today; damp, wet, and freezing rain in the forecast. Just makes you want to stay inside. Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. It seems to be the same cough that is going around here. It hangs on for dear life. Hope you are all set for Christmas and can just rest now for awhile. I met friends today for coffee, exchanged gifts and cards and chatted for way too long. It was great. I came home with another feeder for my birds. :))) Well, it won't be long now. Bet Miss V is counting 'the sleeps' now. Deb

  4. Oh ya....remember those colds and flu bugs! Can't stop hugging them and kissing them and there you go....sick for a couple of weeks!! Seems little ones bring it all home for grandparents to share! Don't worry....Florida is around the corner for you two and hopefully plenty of sunshine to get rid of the germs! Lots of sleep for you two and veggies and fruit and no kissin'

  5. If I ever get my crazy house under control, I want to have fresh flower inside on cold winter days.
Shoot. even fake "fresh" flowers would do.

The best and longest lasting cut flower is always the Carnation....
And they come in real purty colours!

  8. Hi Linda. I'm sitting here with a tiny Love Bird (named Brisbane), sitting on my shoulder. He seems to like your flowers as much as I do. I'm babysitting while the neighbor is away for family Christmas.
#3 photo of white begonia, looks like a ballerina twisting off of her stem - that's what Brisbane thinks too.(smile)
Time to get our spiral ham out. Good evening to you.

    4. Do you have a formulation called Vic in Canada ~ it is heap powerful medicine.
We rub it on our chests at night before going to bed and put some on our nostrils and it chases coughs away.
Obtainable from a chemist ~ I think you might call them dispensaries . . :)

      Delete
    5. Vic's vapour rub? Yes....but I can't stand the smell! Boyfriend puts it under his nose...drives me crazy!
We call them drugstores.....and the chemist would be a Pharmacist!

    6. Yes . . .that's the stuff . . . I love the smell and I put it under my nose too . . . haha .
      Drives you crazy . . . . . lol Shame you don't like it . . .
You'd have to wear a clothes peg to stop the smell or tell him to kip on the beach . . . lol

      Yes Drugstore is the word I was looking for . . . time I turned in . . . goodnight . . . :)

  12. Pretty flowers! I have missed so many of your posts! I have been busier than a one armed paper hanger! Went out of town for a couple of days with my Mom. Have been scrambling ever since to finish the sewing and shopping! Which I did tonight. Now to wrap and bake! Miss ya kid. Love the idea to put the gifts in containers. Loved all of your Christmas decor! Feel better! When do you leave for Florida?

  17. So sorry about your cough, so that's why you weren't at South Common this morning! :) My little grand daughter of 10 months was sick with fever and a cold while I was visiting on the weekend. I feel very badly, as they're flying to California for Xmas tomorrow. Thanks for the cheery floral photos. I also enjoyed Sunday's beach post with you wearing flip flops! It just wouldn't be you without flip flop photos! :) Take care and feel better soon, LSK...
