Sun Filled Friday At The Cottage.........

 What a gorgeous day it was...fresh clean snow...brilliant sunshine...ahhhh fresh air...no wind...

Love making the first footprints in the snow...

Did you ever see such a clear blue sky?...

See you next time, cottage!

And we saw these guys enjoying the sunshine on our drive home...♥️

Hope you are all having a great day...

Todays weather is nothing but BLAH...cloudy...breezy...and warming up!

Looks like all the snow may be gone in a few days...

Calling for rain and temps near 8*c...geesh!  Up and down!

My tree is all decorated...love it!

We were supposed to meet some friends for dinner...

They were bringing their 2 grandsons...and we were going to bring Miss V...

Unfortunately my daughter has strep throat, and Miss V a slight fever...:o(

My boyfriend has hardly any voice...and a very sore throat...:o(

My friends grandson has pink eye...soooooo...needless to say...

                   The evening out is postponed...:o(

Hoping my daughter and Miss V and my boyfriend are much better tomorrow...

Think we'll have some of that crockpot Ham and Pea Soup...

With a Turkey, tomato, bacon, mayo and lettuce sandwich...

Sounds pretty darn good to me...considering!

How are you spending your Saturday night...getting so close to Christmas!!!

                           Enjoy your evening...

                                 Cheers!   :o)

  1. Wow Linda, I think I love your cottage even more in the winter. It is gorgeous there. You have so many beautiful trees surrounding you. Wouldn't they be something all lit up at Christmas. You sound like your well organized and ready for the 'big day'. I can't wait this year as Gwynn will be able to take it all in and really have fun. Riley and Brad are so excited and moving into their new home today. We are still not in the coach-house but it won't be long. Hope everyone feels better soon. We are just over the cold and flu here. At least it's not the day before Christmas...they should be all better by then. Enjoy your tree. Can't wait to see it. Mine is itty-bitty but cute, nonetheless. Hugs, Deb

    1. Hey Deb.....
I do believe you were here last year.....it is gorgeous in the snow isn't it?
Lots of moves in your family....good luck to all!
Will you be in by Christmas?

    2. No, we aren't planning that anymore. We'll just enjoy Christmas here and then carry on after the New Year. And yes, I've been following along for over a year now. My how time flies.

    3. Excellent idea......plenty of time to move in....after the festivities!
      When you're having fun.....right?

  2. I was waiting to see your winter pictures of the cottage trip! And you came through wonderfully!! That makes me wish we had snow like that around here... BUT, when we do, we can't get out to do anything. No snow plows here. But I'm expecting some snow this winter, and I'll definitely get out around the property when we do.... with my camera. I'll keep your pictures as my inspiration! Just beautiful.

  3. You've got those wonderful trees I often think of as magical/whimsical. Oh - what is that red face looking gremlin, with the snowball hat? Scary fellow! I love pristine snow too - the best for making snow angels.(smile)
Today was very pretty. We too had a lovely blue sky, no wind - perfect for leaf blowing! I'm so glad I put pork chops on a slow bake earlier. No energy after leaf duty. I'm thinking some broccoli would be nice. Then a nap - hmm? Maybe the nap first. Happy Saturday, Linda!

    1. Hey Dixie.....
Some of those trees are over 100 years old...the cottage was built in the early 30's! She has aged well,eh?
That head was part of my sons collection....he is a horror nut, and makes all kinds of scary things!
We thought the old wheelbarrow was a great place for him!
Your dinner sounds delish.....where do you live Dixie?

    2. Charlotte, North Carolina. Walking home from a neighbor's home last night, I could smell snow. Maybe we'll get some before end of December!

  4. Love the header, Linda, and nice to see cottage with it's coating of snow and framed by those trees against a gorgeous sunny blue sky.
You could tell by the non foot prints that the postman had not been.

What on Earth is that humanoid skull ~ gave me quite a shock . . . . . lol
Hope b/f and Miss V get better soon ~ my mum used to give me slightly salted tomatoes and pickled onions and that sometimes did the trick for a sore throat . . . .:)

What is that skull thing . . . . never seen it before . . . was it washed up onto the beach or something? . . . lol
Tea with honey is very good. Honey has very good healing properties. My mother used to give us a mixture of honey and cider apple vinegar which worked well . . .

  14. Your photos are lovely, especially the one of the snow on the evergreen. The boughs look like they have long white fingers, and not too especially the scary guy. Does he have a story? He's not the Grinch, is he?
Perhaps one day I will get out to take some pretty snow photos. It could happen.

  19. Fun to check up on you this morning. Beautiful scenic photos and then there's the creepy one that's causing a big commotion. :) Wishing everyone a speedy recovery. My grand daughter has had pink eye and a cold, so there were no hugs when I visited Friday. We attended a lovely Xmas Indonesian event last night. (this boyfriend stays connected to lots of groups from his pre retirement years.) Beautiful performances of dance and song, the children singing were so cute. Take care and have a good week. Might see you? :)
