Bits & Bobs......

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all well...happy...and busy with lots of activities!

I pampered myself with a brand spanking new Kalanchoe, while on my break...

Besides the African Violet...this rates right up there as one of my favorite plants...whether outdoors in the summer...*sigh*

Or indoors with their happy wee faces...

I went with a creamy white one...

Isn't she pretty?

I also did some decorating...I am going with "less is more" this year...

I have already donated 2 boxes to the thrift store...

I am sure someone will make good use of my donations...♥️

Red was not impressed, when Kermit tried to entertain him, by dressing up in his wee Santa Suit!!!

That Red is a tough audience!!

Hahaha!

Tree is up...

No lights yet...

This evening will see that done...

I had purchased an artificial tree...but took it back...just not my cup of tea!

Will look for one on sale after Christmas...

Maybe...tee hee hee..

This was the scene at 8am...

And...

Guess what???

It hasn't stopped yet...

And it is now nearly 5pm...

Geesh...

We will be snowed in...

For sure!

Will get a few more pics tomorrow...

Hopefully a drive to the cottage...

Will have to see...

Hope you are all having a great day...

Is it snowing where you are???

Are you all ready for the big day???

I must get my gifts arranged, and see what I need...

"less is more" in that category as well...I have done a lot of crochet for gifts...

I am happy about that...for sure!!

I have a ham bone on the slow cooker, which will become split pea soup...

                Will get that done tomorrow...

                   Tonight will be veggie spaghetti...

Crusty bread and Ceasar Salad...nice and cosy food...perhaps a fire later♥️

Gee...I forgot how long it takes to put a post together...I'm pooped!

Hopefully not too many pictures...and not too wordy...

Will visit every one....miss me??? hahaha!

                   Enjoy your evening...

                      Cheers!  :o)

  2. No snow for us today, got it all yesterday and overnight ... took lots of snowy photos this morning. Did my baking at M&M this year ... they had some specials and I couldn't make them for the price they were selling them :) I've got my decorations up ... mantle, village, tree, and a new partial tree for my little felt birds and other birds ornaments. We went to see the kids visit Santa after school today. Each day is busy, busy busy. Hope that snow down your way stops soon.
It won't let me comment with my Wordpress account (happening on many blogs) so giving an old Blogger account a try

I made a shepherd's pie to bring to my daughter's tomorrow, Hopefully, the roads will be all cleared by tomorrow, glad that I have snow tires. Do you? Have a nice weekend and keep warm. :)

  9. We are in a winter wonderland, too, Linda. It's beautiful until you have to drive in it. Your Christmas tree looks like it will be a beauty when decorated. Nice and round. I'm just putting up a little one for now since we are in such a fuddle 'til we move. Christmas will be here in a blink of an eye. "Hi Red". I'll have to get out to the property this weekend and feed that bunch of bandits out there. :) Thanks for dropping by, Linda. Glad you are back. Deb

  10. What a wonderful post, and your home is looking so lovely. That Red must be hard to entertain...I thought Kermit was funny. Guess Red will just drive a way....haha

I'm loving my new Apple....Mac Pro Book. It's getting easier to move around now and find what I need. Can download my pictures from my camera which is nice and eliminates a step from my old computer. Split Pea soup sounds so good. I got rid of lots of my Christmas decoration at our yard sale, and then the thrift store got the rest. I love have LESS this year. More time for baking. HaHa. Going Christmas shopping with my daughters and granddaughters this Saturday at a big Outlet Mall near San Diego.

  11. I stopped by for a "quick fix" and you're home! New things to see and read(smile). I love how miss V is looking over at Santa! Linda, I adore the snow, but I work with a homeless shelter and it has so messed up my wishes. Your yard looks so lovely...makes me want to pull on boots and go trooping around! That Kalanchoe is quite the treat. I had one on my sun porch... brought it inside earlier... hopefully I won't kill it. (No green thumb here.)
Such elegant decorating - love your arrangements and color choices. It's hard to pick a favorite photo, but... I'll go with the mirror for now. Oh dear - so many words, not enough space and time!! It's lovely!! Yes, I missed you :)

  12. Hello!! Lovely to hear from you. Yes, that is a lot of snow!!! I hope that your drive to the cottage is a good one. I love that your new kalanchoe is white, just right for this time of year! Mine is still going strong, getting bigger and it has one tiny pale pink flower right now, but I am looking forward to it blooming again, my Christmas cactus is going great guns though! Have a great time at this weekend whatever you are doing and I look forward to seeing your tree all decorated too! xx

  13. What beautiful photos, Linda. Nothing says Christmas quite like softly falling snow and evergreen trees. The kalanchoe is perfect for the season, like your white decor. It has been very hot here, making the shopping difficult, but now at last it is raining and a bit cooler. Hope to make a Christmas cake on the weekend, finish the gift purchases, write a few cards... the list goes on. Lovely post. xxx

    Quite rare here for that.

Like all your bits and bobs . . . . I suppose I should rephrase that but all the photos and the little conversation with Red and Santa Kermit etc. . . . . .lol

    Now i can relax a bit and write some Christmas Cards . . . . :)

  19. I'm still in two minds about whether I prefer the bits to the bobs. (Smile.) Hey, there you are! How's life been treating you in this wintry type stuff kinda December? Wait, I should read it first... aha! Pampering yourself with a brand spanking new Kalanchoe... I knew it! I could sense it a gigamile away, I could. Kermit's got bit feet ha. Did you say an artificial tree? That like a RealDoll only different... It doesn't quite cut it (or so I hear.... hello!).

    Enjoy your break!
