Crochet Cat Nest....Is That You Audrey???
Finished the Cat Nest the other day...
Tried to take some photos...
It just kinda laid there...
All limp...
And flat looking...
A light bulb went off in my head!!
I could use my Mom's stuffed cat...that I have kept since she died...
And...Miss V loves playing with it♥️
First one in the nest...
is a baby Tiger...
Then...
Gosh...
That looks like Audrey....One of Deb's cats...over at "Just Cats"....**wink wink**
I used Bernat Baby Blanket yarn...
Almost like a chenille...
Very soft and cosy...
But...
If the truth be known...
I would just do a small round disc next time...
Kinda floppy...
Not sure if my daughters cats went inside...
Or just laid on it folded...
She sent me a picture of her Pixie laying on it...
Kinda blurry...
Will try and get a better one!!
Meanwhile....after her bath...scrubbed up...shampooed...blowdry and styling...
Miss V loves to pamper her lips...
With some of Nana's EOS lip balm...see it there in her hand!
Loves to open it...apply liberally...give me a few swipes...and screw the top back on ♥️
Hope you are all having a great day...
Still cold here...sun out this afternoon...lazzzzeeee day here!
Gonna have homemade burgers and fries for dinner...can hardly wait!
Enjoy the rest of your day...
Cheers! :o)

Now I want to learn to crochet so I can make a cat nest. Norbert would scorn it but our other cat, Sheldon would love it.
ReplyDeleteVivian's eyelashes! She is going to break some hearts.
Yes....I think she is!
DeleteI'm laughing here, Linda. That stuffed cat is so funny and wouldn't you know it, she does look like Audacious Audrey. She'd be the first one in there, head first. I love the cat nest. Maybe you can go into business and I'll be your first customer. ha! Just what you need, eh? Something more to do. haha! Looks like Vi is going to have fun with nana's makeup soon. This is just the start. We are having the same dinner tonight...veggie burger for me. That's comfort food all the way. Tomorrow will be warm so hope you get out and enjoy it. Hugs
ReplyDeleteHahaha! That was what I thought when I looked at the pictures!
DeleteWe didn't get the warmth here today....and I think we are forecast snow for tomorrow!
Enjoy your evening Deb......
A cat nest? Now that's something new. I must look for that lipgloss. I hear it's great but the packaging is a little large for my purse. Vivian looks adorable with her big eyes. It's been a sunny but frigid day here but mild and rain for the next 2 days. Have a nice evening.
ReplyDeleteIt is a ball....not too big, I don't think...
DeleteSnow and rain for us....yuck!
That is cute . Oh yes and Miss V such a sweety ! Lovely photos ! It is mild here temps hit +2C with sunshine on and off getting cloudy now as rain is in the forecast for over night then rain snow mix . Super sounds good I love home made burgers and fries ! Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteAlmost Spring like Elaine!
DeleteEnjoy your evening....
Ooh, I can imagine a much larger nest for lying on the floor in front of the fire... snuggled in.
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous. So is the Little Miss... I bet you have a blast!
My god-daughter brought me home made soup... and I'll make some slaw and hush puppies.
Enjoy the sun, Linda (smile)
Ha!
DeleteWould love to see you in that nest!
Stuffed cat really funny . . . . . if I was a cat I would go inside and hibernate . . . . . lol
ReplyDeleteLove piccie of Miss V . . . . . . :)
Hi Eddie....
DeleteYou could spend the entire Winter in there!
ok . . . . . wake me up when it is Spring . . . . lol
DeletePuuuuuurfect!
Deletelol . . . . . :)
DeleteDoing anything this Saturday night?
DeleteWhy . . . . want to take me to the movies? . . . . . . lol. I am awful aren't I? lol
DeleteNo . . . . washing machine broke down earlier and had to get soggy washing to my son's and arrange for a repair man . . . .
Did a difficult crossword while enjoying some music and a bit of reading, plus blog visiting of course.
Too darned wet and cold to do anything outside . .. . . .. :)
Oh dear.....hate when that happens!
DeleteYou sound very much occupied.....and busy!
I am crocheting, after eating a HUGE burger!
You should check out Deb's blog.....JUST CATS!
A fellow Canadian.....with a great sense of humour.....
Yes I will - I remember you recommended I visited Deb once before and thanks for reminding me.
DeleteSo you reckon she might be able to put up with my sense of humour . . . oh silly question, I guess if you can she can . . . . lol
Crocheting sounds as if it is therapeutic, especially after eating a huge burger . . . . crumbs you spelled humour with a u ~ so Canadian typewriters have a u then . . . . lol
Jane is a regular there as well....
DeleteUs Canadians are super! With a u !
lol . . . . I know you are . . . . speak soon . . . . turning in . . . night . . . . :)
Deletethat is so cute!!! So is the pretty Miss V, she is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laurie.....
DeleteYou staying warm up there?
Cute nest! Reminds me of those felted ones I got. I bet if Lissa showed her cats they could go inside, that they would burrow down in there. We almost had burgers for dinner but I changed it to salmon at the last minute. Maybe Monday....with fries, too...yum.
ReplyDeleteYes....but yours stood up! This one is pretty floppy....oh well....cosy and cute!
DeletePretty sure that Maximus will figure it out!
Love your nest. But what cute face Miss V! (she is impressed??
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Yes....I guess she is impressed!
DeleteFirst time seeing your new topper, I likey:)
ReplyDeleteMarion's next project is going to be crocheting Iggy a snuggly place mat. I think I'll try it out on al my stuffed animals before giving it to him. Yours looks so cozy:)
Miss V is adorable! My grand-daughter LOVES that chap stick too. I need to give it a try. This weather is reeking havoc on my skin. Hamburgers and Fries? I'm a comin'!!!
Hi ~~Louise~~....
DeleteThat is the word I was looking for! A mat! Perfect name....
I will make a couple more for my other kids cats.... Pretty easy...especially if I make a "mat"....
I have the burgers in the grill pan as we speak!
Enjoy your evening!
Glad to be of assistance, lol...
DeleteHas Betsy ordered 20? HaHa
ReplyDeleteSorry, I've been away a while...when we returned home from out trip...we had one bad news call after another; Family and friends...and the death of our nephew 56 with massive heart attach. My heat is heavy.
Oh dear Wanda....such sad news! 56? Yikes....WAY too young....
DeleteLove the cat nest!!! I bet my cats would LOVE them! One would crawl right inside and settle down for a long nap!
ReplyDeleteYes....I sure hope Lissa's cats like it!
DeleteYou could make one.....easy peasy!
She does look like Audrey!
ReplyDeleteHi William......
DeleteWho?
Miss V?
Hahaha....I know...just joking around!
Seriously, good work.
ReplyDeleteSeriously......thanks♥️
DeleteSeriously, seriously.
DeleteIt's after 2 and we are still farting around. Making more room in our double office. Well, Tim is, I'm farting around now that CHOPPED is over.
Have a great weekend.
Oh....we love CHOPPED!
DeleteHope you got some sleep.....
And....quit farting! Geesh....
Love the nest, my daughter's two cats would love it, they always greet me when I arrive for a visit. Miss V. and the lip balm photo is too cute! Busy day for us with a political gathering and some shopping. The boyfriend made stir fry for dinner, very tasty. Have a nice rest of the weekend, LSK. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Hester....
DeleteI want to borrow your boyfriend! How lucky to have 2 cooks under 1 roof!
You should click on Just Cats in my sidebar!
Deb is too funny!
Enjoy your evening.....
A cat nest looks fun to me. My orange cat that likes to crawl under the covers from time to time. Oreo not so much
ReplyDeleteThe child, as usual, is looking sweet.
:0)
Get your hook going Martha....
DeleteFound the pattern on Pinterest!
Would you crochet an XL for me please? Looks sooooooooooo cosy!
ReplyDeleteI'll get right on that! Hahaha!
DeleteOh heartstopping stuff, seeing Debs' Audrey here in your cat nest. And... is that really your mum's stuffed cat that died? Great little one with pouty lips. This week we had our ninth grandchild. Bless.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo....
DeleteHahaha! No....my Mom died, and this was her "toy" cat...which I kept for sentimental reasons.....♥️
Thanks for stopping by!
Oh, it DOES look like Audrey!! Down to the expression. ;) Sweet Miss V. blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteI thought so too....
DeleteBut....not as much personality! Hahaha!
Maybe it needs some kind of cardboard from the inside to make it look like a box so that the kittens would know what it is for :)
ReplyDeleteHi Dez....
DeleteThe cats are supposed to know enough to go inside!
I must ask Lissa if they have done that!
How are you doing?
Drinking lots of tea?
cute crochet project ... I'm just doing a small blanket for the cat as she always tries to claim mine
ReplyDeleteThat will be what I will make next...smaller!
DeleteI had no idea that you had moved into crocheting for cats! If the cats don't like it I bet that Miss V would love for her toys to play with it! xx
