I Picked A Few Peonies For You.......♥️
Hope you are all enjoying the last of the Holiday Season...
It has been so grey...snowy...damp and wet here...
I thought perhaps a few delightful PEONIES would brighten the mood....
Nothing much going on around here...actually...pretty darn dull!
Had a blizzard yesterday...freezing rain last night...warmer temps today...Plummeting tonight!
Wonder what we will wake up to?
Still haven't made it out to the cottage...perhaps tomorrow...
Have some spaghetti sauce bubbling...got out for some crusty bread and fresh lettuce...
Will have that for dinner...
Downton Abbey tonight!
Now...if only I could remember what happened last season!! hahaha!
Enjoy your evenng...
Cheers! :o)

ReplyDeleteOur rain just turned to snow! Yay!
Ahhhh...Summer!
DeleteSnowing here too!
What glorious colour! I can almost forget such colour exists at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteTell me about it Barb!
DeleteI think I will do a post a month on beautiful flowers fro my garden.....
I love peonies! Are absolutely beautiful Linda!
ReplyDeleteHi Gloria.....
DeleteI thought you might like these...even though you are in summer now!
I love flowers always and these peonies are beautiful!
DeleteDid you see my apricots tree in my header?
I made a lot of jam lol
I just went over to look!
DeleteYou are so lucky to grow such beautiful fruits!
I'll bet the jam is delicious!
Beautiful! So lovely to see them. xx
ReplyDeleteYes...I enjoyed looking them up!
DeleteSo fresh and cheery!
Miserable weekend for the weather. It finally stopped and we got out and cleared the driveway.
ReplyDeleteI watched the last episode of Downton's last series last week to bring me up to date. Looking forward to the double episode tonight.
Cooked a yummy beef stew in the slow cooker ... I love all day cooking :)
Worked at cleaning the back basement (again) finally getting down to the last few of my school boxes after 3.5 years :)
Hoping tomorrow is sunny as it is supposed to be cold, can put up with the cold if the sun is out.
I guess I did too....they seemed to be playing all the time!
DeleteCrap weather for sure...now it is snowing again!
Perhaps you will find some interesting things in those boxes!
Sounds like a perfect kinda day. The peonies are a spark of what is to come. Yay spring..... how many more days?
ReplyDeleteHey Lori.....long time no see!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I think I followed a recipe trail to yours the other day! Small world!
I will look up how many more days.....right now!
Only 75 days! WOO HOO!
DeleteMarch 20 2015!
Lovely peonies.
ReplyDeleteVery screen saver mode type weather here, damp, dull and uninspiring . . . .
Ah! . . . you watch Downton Abbey too, in Canada.
Is it very popular there?
Hi Eddie.....
ReplyDeleteYes....very popular.....we watch all the British shows...they are fantastic!
Still waiting for Doc Martin to return....
Was Broadchurch shown on Canadian TV ~ it is brilliant and being re-run here . . . :)
DeleteYes...we did watch that...with the guy from Dr Who...right? It was excellent...will look for it again...
DeleteWe have a PVR of Midsommers Murdesr to watch tonight...as the Canadian Juniors won the Gold Medal, and we had to watch!!
Peonies remind me of hot summer days. These are lovely and thank you for the pick-me-up. We are covered in snow here and freezing rain over-night expected. Temps are dropping tonight. I'm already done with winter. Enjoy Downton Abby tonight. Deb
ReplyDeleteHi Deb!
DeleteSame weather here...pure yuck!
Are you packing yet?
A little but the weather is slowing things down even more. Since my word for 2015 is 'Health' I can't stress over it. haha!
DeleteYou, my friend, are a very wise lady!
DeleteLOVE peonies.. I gave up on Downton Abbey,so we bought DVDs of Last Tango in Halifax..fabulous,but I don't know if it 'translates' to Canadians.
ReplyDeleteJane x
I think we watched that!
DeleteI loved the bouquet. How thoughtful of you. I was noticing your milk glass vases... I have Don's mother's collection and those look like some I have. Now all I need is some flowers to put in them...my flower garden if fresh out. HaHa
ReplyDeleteNo problem Wanda!
DeleteGrab yourself a bunch this week!
Beautiful - I needed to see these today. Absolutely love peonies. Did you do that just for me? Grin. Weather is crazy-kooky. I can feel the temps drop as I sit here. And it was 6 earlier today!
ReplyDeleteYes....for your birthday Suzanne!
DeleteHope you had a wonderful day!
Only 6 months til peony season!
ReplyDeleteLet the countdown begin......
DeleteOur weather has been exactly the same. That's odd considering the miles between us.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to some relaxing time after having my daughter in law's baby shower this Saturday. A week of craziness ahead.
Jane x
Not really that far Jane...you are in Chicago, right? I am only 20 minutes from Toronto!
DeleteHow exciting...when is the baby due?
I really need to visit you.........I am soooo lazy....
Ah, pink peonies, how delightful. We never see them here! Happy new Year, Linda. x
ReplyDeletethanks Patricia...glad you enjoyed them...only have to wait until June! ugh!
DeleteThank you for those beautiful pops of pink and pillows of white!! I love peonies... but they do not thrive in East Texas. Makes seeing these extra special... and with the cloudy, rainy, COLD. ;) blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteHi Tanna....
DeleteIn June my backyard is alive with Peonies...I have 3 large bushes...each from my Mom's garden after she passed away...
They are very special indeed to me♥️
Glad you enjoyed them..
peonies are my fave flowers, especially the white ones... We expect some snow too this evening. Had ice rain a few days ago and I slipped and rolled down the frozen stairs on me bum :) Now everything hurts... so much.....
ReplyDeleteOh dear Dez...
DeleteI hope you are ok!
Sometimes you do more damage than you know...take care...
The bus stop was bitter this morning. Emma and I waited in the van rather than shiver in the biting wind.
ReplyDeleteWhat a change from yesterday's mild temperatures and drizzling rain!
Love the peonies.
:0)
Yes...pretty darn brisk out there today...
DeleteDrove to the cottage...lots of ice near the shoreline...bitter West wind! -10*c!!!!
Glad you enjoyed the flowers.....
Thanks for the peonies, lovely. I'm a Downton Abbey fan too. The first episode last night was great. One of your other blog followers mentioned Last Tango in Halifax which is another great show. But I have a feeling that it might not be renewed for us Canadians, hope I'm wrong. Have a nice rest of the day and stay warm, LSK. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome Miss Hester...
DeleteIt was a good episode, wasn't it?
rest of my week??? hey...I will see you tomorrow! you are going....right??
stay warm??? absolutely! hahaha!
But of course, I'll be there....wouldn't miss it for anything, ha, ha.
DeleteHaha!
DeleteGuess I'll have to drag my sorry arse out of bed!
You know what? Not really crazy about the new teacher......you?
Pretty, pretty pretty!!! Love these peony pictures. We had snow, ice pellets and freezing rain yesterday. Today - gusty NW winds, snow squalls and cold cold cold. Down to -24 tonight. So your peony pictures cheered me up for a few seconds. Thanks! Stay cozy.
ReplyDeleteYup.....same freezing cold here.....and darn windy!
DeleteA few seconds? Awwwwww...better than nothing, eh? Hahaha!
Lovely pictures of the peonies! Nice to see some colour! All white here - 32 inches of snow falling within a day and a half and still it falls. Incredible!
ReplyDeleteYIKES!!
DeleteWe are freezing and shivering here....
Linda, excuse me for stopping by so late. Such a cheery sight to see! I adore pink flowers.
ReplyDeleteTemps here are up and down too, but at least a day without grey skies and drizzle.
Stay warm (smile)..
No excuses Dixie! hahaha!
DeleteAt least you came...better late than never!!
Gosh...how pompous of me....love it!
Those peonies are just lovely. Such a nice sight in the dead of winter.
ReplyDeleteI had to watch the last episode of last season's Downton Abbey to remember what was going on. This season promises to be very good!
The opening episode was excellent!
DeleteI don't know how I missed this. Great photos. So flippin' pretty.
