On this dark and stormy day...

I am tucked inside...

Enjoying a few of my friends that I asked to join me inside for the Winter...

Scary scarecrow...with his new hat...relaxing in the foyer...

And the big full Moon a few nights ago...shining his face off!!

Magical..........♥️

Miss V and her Mom paid us a visit on Sunday afternoon...
Always happy to see them!
Miss V asked me to come upstairs for a minute...
"Nana...can I play with the pumpkins in your office?"...
"Why...of course you can dollface..."
"You come  with me Nana...ok?"
"Ok"

We sat at the dining room table...
The sun was pouring in... 
Which made it even more magical!!
 

This is what she wanted to play with...
This jar of wax pumpkin heads!
I have had this 4ever...and she always looked at it when she was little...
It is kept in a cabinet in my office upstairs...
A few seasonal things that I take out at the appropriate time of year...
She loves counting them...
Lining them up...
Giving everyone one to hold onto...
Such fun...from such a small thing...
I think she will remember this jar of Pumpkin heads for a very long time♥️

Weather not too bad here....YET!!

Lots of sunshine earlier..but the clouds are thickening...

Waiting for the storm to arrive...

Should be a dilly...

Lots of rain...and high winds...

Especially for the cottage!! YIKES!!

My boyfriend went out there this morning...

To clear a few things off the sunporch...

And generally...batten down the hatches!!

Hope no trees come down...

Winds predicted to be over 90kms/hr...

Coming straight in off the Lake!!

Oh well...the old girl has been great all these years...

Weathered lots of storms...

I spent the afternoon in the kitchen...

I have Potato Leek soup on the stove...YUM!

And dinner tonight will be Pepper Steak..

As pictured below...from a previous meal!!

I did post the recipe once...but...for the life of me...

I cannot find it!!

Perfect Friday.......

As we turned onto the cottage road last Friday...
I just knew it was going to be a beautiful day!!
I have never seen this Horse and rider before...
And I tried to get a few pictures as we drove by!
When we pulled into the driveway...
I grabbed my camera...
Headed to the road...to wait for him to pass by...
While waiting...I thought...look at that cottage!!
How cute is she??
So...I snapped a few from the street!!
But...to my dismay...the rider must have turned around...:o(
Never passed the cottage...
Oh well...
This did not get me down...what a glorious day ahead of me!!
 

We set the chairs up...behind the beach deck...as there was a fierce East wind!!
We ate lunch there...sheltered from the wind...
No grass cutting...
Just...
Relaxation!!

How beautiful is that??!! {except for the dirty windows!!}

They gave us 3 signs so far...

They all look great!!

Time for a walkabout...

And a beach visit...

Loved seeing this Jay...

Even tho' our Jays lost that night  :o(

While dinner was in the oven...
And the WIND died down...YAHOO!!
My boyfriend got busy, and set up the fire pit, on the beach deck...
I got the kindling...and away we went!!
The Moon was very bright in the South east that night...
It looks fabulous when reflecting off the lake!!
 

My boyfriend thoguht that we should have a picture of me...
In my VERY old plaid fleece jacket...hahaha!
So glad I did not donate this!!
Comes in handy..for those chilly evenings...
And...matched with one of my cowls...very toasty indeed!!
Notice...no socks!!
And...my thrifty shoes!!

When we went inside...I got to work on an indoor fire...
I just love spending the evening this way...
On the couch...
Listening to music...
And...even...a dance or two ♥️
 

YIKES!!!
This is what we woke up to!!
Spent a leisurely time inside...putzing around...had a nice breakfast...
Headed home around 2pm...as we were attending an engagement party...
For my nephew Liam...and his fiancee Aimee!!
All my kids were there as well...and saw a few friends that I had not seen for  a while...had a really nice time!! Even a live band...and MORE dancing!!
 

Hope you all had a great weekend...and are enjoying this Sunny day!!
We are expecting torrential rains on Wednesday...

And very high winds!!

Oh...by the way...celebrated 4 years of blogging yeaterday!!

I am so grateful for all of the lovely people who visit me...

Blogging has been very rewarding to me...

Best of all...

I got to meet all of you...and you know who I mean! hahaha!!
