Today In My Home Garden...Front To Back....

Finally got out to the garden today...

For a wee while...

Starting front to back....

Sunshine Impatiens still flowering...

Hopefully til the first frost...

Picked up a few Fountain grass to dress things up for the Fall...

Love the dark colour and the pretty seed heads...

This tiny birdhouse has seen better days...

But it still looks cute tucked away at the front...

Lace-cap Hydrangea is putting on her show...

I think they are the most spectacular plant...

I mean...

Hydrangeas in general..

Any variety will do!

This little Snail was taking a nap in my climbing Hydrangea....

No flowers yet...

Perhaps next year...

BUt...

I am glad...

That the Snail...

Likes it here...:o)

First sign of Fall...

The Engleman Ivy is starting to turn Crimson...

Heading to the back yard...

The Boston Ivy is starting to get it's berries...

Then the leaves will turn a lovely golden yellow, then red...

Last year was spectacular...

Hoping for a good show this year as well..

These little guys were poking thru the back fence...

I am sure the Birds will find these!!!

Climbing rose bush against the clear blue sky...

What a lovely day it was!!

The Bamboo is starting its Fall show as well...

Not the greatest..

But...

Still...

A darn good effort!

I have always wondered why some Hostas put out Purple flowers..earlier in the season...

And then...

Some...

Put out these...

Gorgeous..

HUGE...

White flowers...

Perhaps Crafty can fill me in...eh Crafty?

Of course...

Good old...

Dependable...

Trustworthy...

Rose of Sharon...

Still...

Pumping out the blooms!!!

And...

My precious...

Begonias... :o)

This sign has been on the inside of our gate for over 25 years..

This year...the Ivy decided to grow across it..

Thought it made an interesting shot...

I had more pictures...but I ran out of steam!!!

Very busy day...once again....

Shopping...laundry...babysitting...cooking..visiting a friend...

Not complaining ..mind you...and thank goodness my "H" is quiet today!!!

                                    *****************

Hope you all had a great day...

On the menu tonight...

Roasted Turkey breast...smashed potatoes...beets...stuffing and gravy..

                               DEEEEEE LICIOUS!!!

Enjoy the rest of your evening...

I'm heading down to the couch! HA!

                             Cheers!   :o)

  2. Your garden is still looking great! I love your ivy, I've always wanted to have some ivy. I once lived in a very old dormitory that was covered with ivy and it looked so pretty, especially as it started to grow in toward the windows, and it was full of ladybugs too!

  3. I enjoyed seeing that your garden is still going strong. I love the detour sign with the ivy on it and all the ivy growing on the wall. Don't forget to take a picture of it when it turns red ok? I hope the snail doesn't like to eat hydrangeas. He's quite pretty though. Possible frost here tonight. It's 10 but going down to 4. I've covered things with old towels and put some plants in the garage just in case. brrrrrr.
