This is the Teddy Bear I crocheted for Miss V for Easter...
The pattern is to the right...
Very difficult to follow...
Only 1 picture...of the finished product!
I had no idea where to sew the legs and arms on...to make her sit nicely!
Also...embroidering the features on AFTER the head is stuffed, was pretty tricky!
All of my hard work paid off...
She put her right into her doll stroller...
And off they went!!!
In a BLUR!
Gotta love her♥️
Hope you are all having a great day....
The plumber called....the water is on!!!! YAY.......YAY......YAY!
We are going out tomorrow...get some more yard work done...
Might stay over...fingers crossed!
Nice day today....sunny....still rather chilly wind though...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On the menu tonight...
Fresh Cod filet...marinated in buttermilk...
Baked til crispy after being...
Rolled in Panko crumbs with Cajun spices...
Bok Choy...fried potato patties with gr onion and red pepper...
Fresh Yellow and green beans...
Enjoy the rest of your day...
Cheers! :o)
Oh that is a cute bear! He looks well loved already!
ReplyDeleteIt is cute...eh Betsy?
DeleteYou did a great job on the bear, Linda. She is adorable. I'm working on a little wee one right now. My first and maybe my last. hahaha! I love it's little face in the third picture...so cute. I bet V slept with it that night. We had rain all day and it is a little too cold out there right now. Hope it warms up soon. Dinner sounds yummy. I love fish any way you cook it. Have a great evening. Hugs
ReplyDeleteOh...now I want to see yours, Deb!
DeleteIt was quite nice here today...the boyfriend and I even got a nice walk in!
Enjoy your evening!
Very well made Linda
ReplyDeleteWell thanks Eddie...coming from a guy, that is a real compliment!
DeleteWell the subject obviously is a bit on the feminine side for us guys but I can see you've put a lot of work into it and the result is highly professional . . . . and if I was a kid I'd love to have it, probably without the pink ribbon. You are very talented.
DeleteFeminine side!!!
Deletewhat a beautiful job you did, she looks adorable, she really loves that bear!! Your supper sounds amazing,
ReplyDeleteThanks Laurie....wish I could knit like you though!
DeleteThe bead turned out lovely and I know Miss V will have a fun time playing with it. Great you were able to sort out the pattern.
ReplyDeleteYes...took me a while...but I got there in the end!
DeleteOh, it's a bear! I thought it was a bunny. :) It is cute though and I'm sure Vivian will love it to pieces. It looks very similar to a bear my aunt made for our daughter when she was little. I hope you have a great day at the cottage. Rainy and cold here again. :(
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam........boo to the rain....
DeleteI should have made a bunny...NOW I have found a pattern.....
DeleteJust darling and I know Miss V will enjoy it for year to come. Wow, pages of instructions..guess I'll just keep knitting dish cloths. haha. That last picture tells it all...love she off in a blur with her new friend.
ReplyDeleteDinner at your house ALWAYS sounds delicious. I'm cleaning out the frig, so I don't have to throw out "green mold" things when we get back from our trip. Tonight salmon burgers (w/o the bun) and tossed salad (gotta use up all the veggies).
Sending hugs and smiles
I must say....the fish tonight was especially moist....must be the buttermilk bath....
ReplyDeleteGood wishes for your trip.....can't be easy....
So cute . Lovely work with the teddy ! Supper sounds good ! Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteThanks Elaine....enjoy your evening..
Welcome!
Such a sweet sweeeeet teddy bear, Linda. And if I'm not mistaken, it's a blue one too! It is really adorable and you have every reason to be proud of the finished masterpiece. Does it have a name yet? Might I suggest "Little Blue"? No? ;)
ReplyDeleteFried potato patties with gr onion and red pepper.... yum.
I'll run that by Miss V.....if she likes it...."Little Blue" it is!
DeleteThe potatoes were excellent!
I can only image how excellent they were. Llicking my lips now, looking forward to yet another great weekend! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteNot sure yet Linda.....but I do miss the crochet in the evening.....
Deletethat is the most adorable little bear.
ReplyDeletebefore i even read that you had done it (I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN!!! ) ... LOL...
i was thinking what an amazingly expressive face he has. that's hard to find in that kind of bear.
and you know why yours does? it was made with total love. for a very special little person.
that's why! that's the secret!
xoxo♥
YAYYY for cottage water!!! xoxo
oops. i had to got back up and look at all the pictures again... because i just love them.
ReplyDeleteand i see that she's a she bear!
i'm so sorry wee she bear! for calling you a he! hee hee.
Well bless your heart,Tammy.....thanks so much♥️
DeleteHopefully I can make her other stuffed friends!
They are a very special kind, aren't they?
Hi! Your bear turned out really well . . . especially considering the directions were difficult. How on earth did you embroider the features AFTER the head was stuffed?
ReplyDeleteHow fun to see it all come together once your granddaughter took her for a ride! What better payment could there be?
Hi Jenniffer.....
DeleteI went thru the back of the head with a curved needle....the knot catches in the stuffing...out of sight....and then back out thru the back!
You did a super job with the bear, and the legs look like they're in the right place to me! The evening menu sounds delicious, as usual too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jay....I had trouble with the legs, but was finally happy with the position!
DeleteThat cod was so tender and flaky....buttermilk is my hero♥️
Oh, so sweet.
ReplyDeleteAnd I just LOVE your new header!!!!!
Thanks Jessica...the picture seemed so appropriate for the season....
DeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteMarion has been crocheting Minion hats for my daughter's Relay for Life in June. When I showed her your bear, she went bonkers!!! She is now analyzing your images so she too can make a bear. She hasn't started yet and may get a bit distracted (after all, she is 93:) but, I have a feeling a bear is now in her future, lol...
I'm just curious, did Miss V give it a name? I love when children name their toys. They sometimes come up with some doozies, lol...The bear looks adorable and that dinner sounds pretty darn good too. Thanks for sharing, Linda...
Does Marion crochet? I can give you the location for the pattern...it is free!
DeleteNo.....no name yet....
Woke up and got out of bed to face snow this morning! yuk will we ever get spring....
ReplyDeleteLove the little bear. You did a great job!
Have fun cleaning up today and hope you can stay overnight.
Have a nice weekend
Jeannette
Oh dear...more?
DeleteWe are clear here....but pretty nipply today....and windy of course! Rain coming......
We got a lot of raking done...and we did stay over....more later!
Enjoy your weekend!
