Healthy...Heavenly...Hydrangea Hues ♥️
I don't know a living soul...
Who doesn't LOVE The Hydrangea...
I picked this potted one up, about 2 weeks ago...
It came with 3 large BLUE blooms...
And one tiny still GREEN bloom...
It depends on the time of day that I take a picture...
And it can be either BLUE...or MAUVE ♥️
The smaller GREEN bloom, now has a tinge of BLUE at the ends...
I am loving the CREAMY centres....♥️
Hoping this will last long enough to plant at the cottage...
One of my resolutions was...PLANT MORE HYDRANGEAS...
And...
I intend...
To do...
Just that....♥️
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope you are all having a great day...
Sun shining....still chilly...East wind...
I need to get my flowers on the table...
And into my front door pot...
Going out for dinner...as I will be BUSY COOKING tomorrow!!
Enjoy the rest of your day...
Cheers! :o)
Good morning Linda...you are right...how could anyone NOT loved hydrangeas. They have been my favorite for years. Your close ups of them give me goose bumps...love the color. Our youngest daughter's wedding bouquet was one huge single blue hydrangea. Have a great day...getting ready for your family... Sending hugs and smiles...
ReplyDeleteThey do make a beautiful bouquet, don't they?
DeleteI especially like the blue♥️
Enjoy your evening, Wanda
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THEM!!! I want lots and lots but we have to wait until the builders are finished late summer,otherwise they will get tromped on,and then there would be builders' bodies hanging from trees...not a good look.
Hydrangea porn......that's a good one Jane!
DeleteI did not know you were under construction.....photos please!
Construction begins in the summer, about the same time as my nervous breakdown.
I HATE having people in to do work!
DeleteTake it easy.....
Perhaps GO AWAY for a few weeks!
Good luck.......
I planted hydrangea last year and yes, I love it!
ReplyDeleteLike I said...who couldn't love them? They are georgeous!
DeleteI love hydrangeas. I have a whole bunch of them in my garden, and will continue to add more. Can you ever have enough hydrangeas? I think not :)
ReplyDeleteYou are a wise woman Martha....
DeleteYou can NEVER have too many Hydrangea.....IMPOSSIBLE!
The hydrangeas are gorgeous plants and I want some in my garden too ... have never had them. Do you have luck planting the store bought ones outside? I'm doing some cooking tomorrow too. Wishing you a happy weekend with your family, just in case I don't make it back in the next couple of days. And hopefully you get some time at the cottage too.
ReplyDelete50/50 Linda.....the ones from a nursery are better.....but I have had these store bought ones re-bloom....actually on the day Miss V was born I had 1 blue bloom!.....from a grocery store plant!
DeleteEnjoy your dinner...I imagine you will have a houseful too.....Cheers!
Yes, they are beautiful...even the green blossoms!
ReplyDeleteYes...even the green!
DeleteThey are slowly turning blue too!
I never saw a hydrangea in my life until I first visited Vancouver about 10 years ago. I could scarcely believe my eyes at how big those flowers are!
ReplyDeleteLast summer was an especially good year...they love the rain....
DeletePerhaps I should do a Hydrangea post!
Enjoy your weekend Debra.....
Love hydrangeas! . . . . beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteWe have a large pink varierty in our front garden - your's is more advanced than mine which is just beginning to bud.
Did you know that iron filings an turn a pink geranium plant into one bearing blue flowers. One year I put a lot of iron filings on one side of the bush and half of it was blue and the other pink.
Thanks Eddie....
DeleteThis is a potted one...hopefully to be planted out later...
I have heard that about the iron....did you take a pic of the bi-coloured bush?
Regrettably I did not take a piccie! Shame - it was in the days way before blogging.
DeleteThey are so beautiful. I think I'll add them to the list of flowers to plant after we build. I love the blue/violet colour. Your photos are gorgeous, Linda.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are getting excited to start building!
DeleteHow exciting that will be, Deb......and planning a garden is always fun!
Enjoy your weekend....
simply gorgeous periwinkle flowers!
ReplyDeleteThat is the perfect colour......Periwinkle!
DeleteDescribes them beautifully....
By far my most favorite plant, Linda. I love them.
ReplyDeleteAnd I mean that in a non-pissy pithy way. Of course ;)
DeleteDid you stay up late just to visit me, Blue?
DeleteBut of course! Though I have to say I've been having trouble falling asleep.
DeleteJust beautiful Linda!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter dear !
Thanks Gloria!
DeleteBlue is surely off to bed now!
And what to do at this time of night this grumpy blue????
ReplyDeleteGo to sleep lol
Haha
Hahaha!
DeleteI'm still waiting for my blueberry pie, Gloria Dear.
DeleteIt's beautiful, Linda. I love them too. I used to love this hydrangea candle Yankee used to make, I wish they still had it.
ReplyDeleteLove smelly candles...i got my 2 gals and my son's gal each a very nice one for an Easter surprise!
DeleteEnjoy your weekend Jennifer!
I have a green thumb. Some have said I could plant a broomstick and make it grow. But I cannot, for the life of me, grow a hydrangea. And I love them!
ReplyDeletexo Kris
I know you have a very green thumb Kris...perhaps it is your soil or something...chek out the requirements for your zone...
DeleteEnjoy your Easter feast!
I love the blue as well, blue is such a rare color in nature for us, its a stand out beauty!
ReplyDeleteIt is a rare color...I guess mostly Spring flowers are blue...and of course the beautiful Delphinium!
