Bird Watching At The Cottage......

After a very hard day of raking...cutting...raking...cutting...

We settled into our chairs...with a cold refreshment...around 5pm...

To enjoy the late day sunshine...

And started to watch the show...

I had my camera ready...and had to zoom in on most of these shots...

Everyone was pretty darn hungry...

Even got a shot of a small barn swallow...calling for his mate♥️

We spent the night....pretty chilly...more water problems...

Will tell you all about that later...

But for now...enjoy the birds!

                                        ~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope you all had a great day...
Just started to rain here...and darn windy...AGAIN!!!
I wanted to welcome a few more new followers...
Have you all met Eddie??
He came over from Betsy's lovely blog...welcome all!!
                                       ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

On the menu tonight...

         Grilled pork tenderloin...potatoes with fresh basil...asparagus

             perhaps a salad...not sure yet!

Enjoy your evening...

                   Cheers!  :o)

  1. I do love birdy pics! Mourning doves have such sweet gentle faces..IQ of a flower pot, but they look and sound so sweet.

  3. I love those lovey-doveys. They are so gentle and sweet looking. My yard was full of gold finches again the other day. They like our trees, I guess. I still have suet, apples, peanuts and seeds at the front so I'm sure they are partaking. Gorgeous photos, Linda. Thanks for stopping by again. I guess I should go over and meet Eddie. That is, if he likes cats. haha!

You only see those here along the road sides for some reason! I want one! haha. I also want a bluebird! I need to put out a wanted sign. haha.

  6. Hi there, just catching up! Glad to know that things are looking up at the cottage, sounds as though you have been very busy bears working away out there! I bet that you are glad to be back though. I hope that the water is/will be sorted very soon. Your crochet bear for Miss V is just too cute and it is so lovely the way that she plays with him too!! Hope that you have a great weekend. xx

  8. It is so lovely to relax and watch the birds. We got the hummingbird and oriole feeder out yesterday ... just in case one should happen by! Oh no, not more water issues. Hope they can be sorted out quickly.

  9. Great bird photos! So nice to see so many at your feeder. I've stopped filling my feeders and the birds have gone. No goldfinches or doves but I saw 2 chickadees today. They kind of roam away this time of year anyway and find their own food and a place to start nesting. That's really too bad you still have water issues. Enjoy the weekend!

  12. Well thank you young lady for those very kind welcoming words! . . . . You make me blush! and I am such a shy guy! lol. And if Deb is watching I do like cats and Linda is quite right, I am lovely ROFL. I am modest too lol.

    Great you had an enjoyable stay at the cottage and those shots of the birds are remarkable and pick up so much detail. You are truly blessed to have such an abundance of varieties on your side of the pond. I agree with Betsy that your blog header is fantastic.

    That grilled pork tenderloin looks absolutely scrumptious!!

I've packed, showered, clean out the frig so I don't come home to green mold..haha...now I'm taking a break to visit a few friends before we head out in the morning.

  15. Your pictures are wonderful! What sort of bird is that black one, do you know? It reminds me of a myna bird! I need to have a zoom lens. I spot the best birds at the lake...never get a shot at all.

    Cold and rain predicted here in the upper Midwest. Sigh. All in good time (yes I say that a lot!)

    Happy weekend, my new friend!
