  3. Well, I must admit that I love how you describe your menus, maybe even more than reading about the icy scenery! And regards for you from Gigi, who asked me about you this morning. I said that you're headed south soon. Nice that you have Miss V. today. Dinner here is turkey burgers, roasted beets and mashed turnips. Have fun and enjoy...

  11. It looked so cold at the cottage but fantastic photo opportunities. Chicken lasagna for dinner tonight ... the cheating kind from M&M. Medical appointments today so not totally exciting. It was a lovely sunny day with little wind, which was a good thing because it was o-o-o-o cold when we went out this morning.

  12. It was terribly cold this morning, but the sun was bright and the wind was calm. I took my camera out to the bus stop again. After my friend Emma got on the bus, I went across the street to find something to shoot, but my fingers soon started to freeze so I didn't stay out long.
I found a not on my computer that said, "I want my momma." so Hannah and I took a trip to visit the new momma to be who was feeling sickish. We took some lemon ginger tea and a bag of oyster crackers, and helped fold several loads of laundry.
    That's productive, right?

    2. It was really nice to be able to sit around the table in Beth's dining room, share some conversation, and watch her face turn from wincing at nausea to relaxed after drinking a bit of lemon ginger tea. We brought along some apples and cream cheese dip which helped in keeping Jakie calm after our arrival. He didn't get crazy like he usually does when we first show up. It was a good afternoon and we were back hoe before the school bus returned with Emily (not to be confused with Emma...)

  13. I've been chilled all day and shivering then I open this post and see these frigid (although beautiful) photos at the cottage! I'm thankful for my warm house on these cold nights and not having to leave it if I don't want to. :) Hubs is still in Winterpeg so it's a bit too boring and quiet here. Enjoy your evening, Linda.

  14. Great photos, Linda. My favorite is #8.We have the same weather but I think we are a bit colder here. Sounds like this weekend it will warm up quite a bit. Relief! Dinner sounds scrumptious and that loaf...mmmm. We were at the property this afternoon and home just in time to make open-faced tuna melts. Add a salad. Easy. I got my fill of birdies today. Do you ever see the Red Poll around your area? They are so cute but very shy. Glad you had time with Miss V. Deb

We didn't have sun today...just grey with a few flakes falling. I cleaned today....much accomplished, so that felt good. The Mister had a dinner out so I didn't have to cook...love that little break sometimes!

  16. Beautiful, b-r-r-r-r photos. Love the bumps and curves and swirls of the ice. Looks like someone aimed a wand at the waves and said, "Freeze!" Was at the 2015/2016 COC (Canadian Opera Company) Season Launch tonight so no smells emanating from the kitchen. But afterwards I went for a delicious Stout Cheddar Burger and Cosy Apple Cobbler with Ice Cream at the Mill Street Pub in the Distillery. Yum.
