A Few More.....From The Cottage...

I wanted to share a few more pics from the cottage.....
Still can't get the text to go after a photo....

Anybody?

I am thinking of adding the "Blogsy" app....it seems to have a lot more composing options....
Not sure I like all my text, in one big clump!

Having a blizzardy....windy day here....my boyfriend and I got out for a rather slippery walk...
Just before the snow blew in.....
Had a lovely mug of chicken soup, that I made yesterday....
Still want to dig into the banana/blackberry loaf....with a steaming cup of tea....yes....that's it!
Right after I finish this post♥️

Hope you enjoy the pics.....a few "green" things....sprouting up...
Hollyhock.....Succulent.....Johnson's Blue Geranium.....
Always glad to see lovely green faces....♥️

The Datura pods are so darned attractive in the winter....
And I am a real sucker for the Native Milkweed.....

Hope you are enjoying your weekend....

On the menu tonight....

                     Crispy Roasted Pork Chops....
                            Oven roasted potatoes and carrots....
                                     Sautéed mushrooms,peppers and onion...
                                            Smooth gravy.....

                                                      Cheers!     :o)

  2. It's positively spring-like there. This is near Niagara, right? Your photos are great. Here, near Ottawa, we are having a snowy blizzard. I'm just back from doing a bit of shopping and putting food down for the ferals. Poor things..it's about to get cold again but at least they won't be hungry. I'm so happy that you are a plant whisperer because I often don't know what the heck to do with a sad plant. I'll most likely pick you brain once in awhile. Enjoy that dinner. DA tonight..be there. Hugs, Deb

  4. Are you meaning the captions for the photos? Which incidentally are stunning by the way.

I've got a tip for you...Windows live writer...Never ever going back to use blogger format after finding out about this WLW program...and it's free. So easy to use, and I have never had a problem with it.

  6. I just had a nice warming mug of apple cinnamon chamomile tea as this blustery, snowy day comes to an end. I've been doing a bit of crochet from a CAL that I joined and also a bit of knitting while watching some Continental Cup curling. We're ready for Downton Abbey and Sherlock tonight. Daughter and family got 2 new adorable black kittens before Christmas and called them Sherlock and Watson.
Lovely to see some green shoots poking through. rRight now it seems we'll never see them here, but I know we will eventually.
Can't give you any help with iPad and Blogger as that isn't a format i use. Keep at it and you will solve your photo problem.

  9. Good luck with your new blogging challenges! I only know the bare bones and cringe when any little thing changes. I would rather duct tape an old computer than have to deal with new changes! haha! I am always in awe of a bit of green poking through this time of year. It feels like a little miracle. And it's still so cold for you.

  12. These are such 'hopeful' pics Linda. I know there is a lot more winter to come but it's refreshing to see green growth during the mild spell isn't it? It is turning colder here tonight and the wind is howling like a banshee. Ugh! I don't like wind. Oh well, I'lll bide my time this week in the deep freeze then maybe it will be more normal. Have a wonderful Monday!

  13. Dear Linda - loving the blue skies and golden grasses - do you grow your Daturas from scratch each year? - cuttings or seeds?
One of my followers has just started using the blogger app, and has found it so much easier than accessing the site directly through the internet.
    Good luck♥

    1. A bit of both Rosemary....I usually buy a couple of plants...but the seeds also come up...here and there...and not always where you want them! It is one of my most favorite annuals....it has been a subject of many a post for me!
I use the blogger app on the IPad...but very limited to what you can do....no choice for text, or where you can arrange pictures and text....I will persevere....must post from the sunny south!
      Enjoy your week....

  15. I can't believe things are already growing there. They must be so hardy to be emerging so soon after that cold you had up there. Tough cookies! I just realized that my daughter has a dress/tunic like the one V is wearing in the photo up near your header. Is it from Old Navy? My daughter has the same thing only the main body of it is teal with blue dots, but the long sleeves are the same.
