And Now For Something Completely Different........

After tidying all day...

More Christmas stuff away....

I decided...

That a few of my houseplants...

Needed a little TLC....

I actually repotted this Clivia...

I have had it for about 10 years...

It has only bloomed once...

And...

It was...

Falling over...:o(

Fresh pot...

Fresh soil...

GO CLIVIA!!!

Crown of thorns still flowering♥

And...

Mr Purple Pants still

going strong!

I am still finding a few festive items.....piling them on the dining room table...to fill another box!!

Switched up my hall table....

This will be the "January" display!

Won't need to change it again until March!!!

My sweet Gnome always makes an appearance here in January...

Or July...

Or...

Whenever...

He is quite mischievous!!

Hope you all had a great day....

Sunny here....still cold....but...at least it stopped snowing....FOR NOW!!!

                                       *********

On the menu this frosty Friday night...

        Homemade Pizza....with sliced tomatoes,black olives,goat's sheese...

Fresh Basil [picked that up today}...

Smoked salmon on my boyfriends side.

And a greek salad with avacado...

Enjoy your evening.....

                                    Cheers!  :o)

  2. 6 special candles! I love the jug (or pitcher?) that the Clivia is in, I would just display that as is, although it does look good with it's new resident! We are de decorating this weekend so I will be sorting things out next week. I was thinking that I need to find something for valentines, so I might take a leaf from you and look out some red candles! xx

    1. Already thinking of Valentines!!
That jug has been in the basement for ages....decided to put it to use!
Not sure if the Clivia will survive....time will tell!

  3. You have very happy plants. I bought a small pot of rosemary and cilantro at Trader's Joe and will be looking for some bigger pots to transplant in. Since I made the fused rosemary salt and olive oil for Christmas, I wanted to have my own rosemary.
I'm going to leave up my two favorite Nativity scenes up till Easter!

  6. I love those little boots on your table. The bitter cold has vanished (for now) and a snow storm is moving in tomorrow. We are heading out to visit the grandkids this morning so we can stay home all day tomorrow. I'll have to decided what to do for my weekend cooking.
My houseplants need a bit of attention too ... the Christmas cactus have all finished blooming.
Enjoy the weekend ... get ready to watch Downtown Abbey on Sunday :)

  7. beautifu blossoms, I was given an orchid and it never bloomed, ever, I do have luck with violets, though, your dinner sounds wonderful, quite like what we had the other day by coincidence, lol, a Happy New Year to you and family, its kind of sad to see Christmas gone so fast isn't it,

  8. Oh it's so cold. I'm shivering and my fingers and toes are frosty. Ha! It's nice to see flowering plants inside in the winter. I'm enjoying my cream poinsettia and my now flowering red variegated Amaryllis. But, it's SO cold outside. The tree is still up and the lights brighten the dark cold evenings. I don't mind. I may take the decorations off and just leave the lights and crocheted snowflakes. May….
