After Christmas Buys.........
I did get out on Monday....
Was it Monday????
Yes....
Monday...
Visited one of my favorite stores...
Homesense....
And..
I...
Found....
A few...
Great buys ♥
2 packages of cookie cutters...
Gingerbread Men...
And...
Snowflakes...
$1.50 each....
And...
A very exciting find...indeed....
A bag of Apple Spice seasoning....
This goes into my Apple Pie Bread recipe...
And...will save me a lot of time...mixing up the different spices!! $1....
A lovely Peppermint Bark Candle....
Very nicely wrapped....
Could be for me...
Or...
A gift! $2!!!
Festive napkins...
With such an appropriate saying!!!!
$1 each pack...
A lime green sparkly twirly thingy....
Can go in my planters...
Or simply in a vase...
Or...
In a floral centrepiece!
Reg $15 for $4!!!
This next purchase, really brought a smile to my face....
Considering this year....I neglected to buy any Christmas crackers....and my son brought some....
Now.....I am well prepared for next year...
And I thought the style was very attractive♥
They will match my plaid place-mats very nicely! reg$20.....paid $4!!!!
One can never have too much ribbon....
Couldn't pass up the gingham...and at 2/$1....even better!!!
So..........thee were my after Christmas purchases.....pretty nice,eh?
And...........so........darn........cheap!!
Hope you all had a great day....
We are getting hammered again with snow...winds...cold temps!
The snow is beginning to build up on top of things again!!!!
It had all either blown off...or melted from things...
Took these shots this afternoon...
After I got the tree down...
Ornaments and lights packed away...
Swept the needles into piles....
Into the dust pan....
Then.....
Vacuumed for 5 hours to get all the needles!!!!
Perhaps it is time for an artificial tree for this household!!!
Darn snow.....go away for a while....
Hoping our drive South....won't be hampered by all of these winter storms...
Fingers crossed that they ease up...towards the end of January.....please.....
**********
Have you got all your Christmas trappings put to rest?
Do you always find things after you think everything is put away???
I do.....
I keep a small box, for those stragglers!!!
***********
On the menu this snowy, blowy Thursday...{right??} night...
Grilled Pork Tenderloin....marinated in Worcheshire and ground pepper..
Sauteed mushrooms, onions and red, orange and green peppers....
Leftover roasted taters thrown in to warm at the last minute♥
Enjoy the rest of your evening...
Are you snowed in too?????
Cheers! :o)

I love all you bought Linda, love them ..we think alike! he!
ReplyDeleteyou still have snow? I love it! Im a Winter girl, and now we are in summer...
Thanks Gloria!
DeleteWe have LOTS of snow......want some? Ha!
Hello meen, I've been following your blog for almost 6 months now without leaving any comment so I decided to quickly say hi today, just so you know you've got a fan somewhere. LOL. Your blog makes sense to me just like http://danieluyi.com, another similarly interesting blog that I'm also a fan of.
DeleteKeep it up.
You found some sweet things Linda. Those Christmas crackers are sweet with the buttons on the ends. I haven't been out shopping since Christmas except for groceries. And it's way too cold to even leave the house now too. So, I'm just hibernating. And eating. :( BTW some artificial trees shed a bit too.
ReplyDeleteI was quite pleased with the things I got!
DeleteProbably won't get an artificial tree....now that the mess is cleaned up!
Stop eating! Hahaha!
LIKE!!! I never think to go to Homesense after Christmas!! Maybe I should rethink that.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely should....I still have to hit Winners!
DeleteGreat buys Linda - I would have to burn that candle though, it sounds divine!! Artificial trees shed too, but not as much as real ones and they clean up a lot easier it has to be said. Now, if the same could be said about the glitter that sheds all over the place.... Oh well, it adds to our sparkly personalities doesn't it!!
ReplyDeleteGreat buy on the crackers - you are all set for next christmas already - talk about getting organised hee hee!!
Hope that the snow goes again, you really are having a hard time with the snow and ice over there this year it seems.
xx
I was thinking.....that candle might be awesome for the cottage!
DeleteHow delicious would that be!
I haven't stepped foot into a store yet other than the pet store for cat food. Tomorrow the real tree comes down along with the little one in the kitchen. I'll be picking up needles for weeks. I say it every year.."no more real trees" and then I want one again. How soon we forget. It is -26 here tonight. I am just back from putting some food down for feral cats in our area. I haven't seen one for weeks but the food goes so I expect they are getting it. Poor things, it's so cold but at least they won't starve. I am ready for Spring.
ReplyDeleteYou should check out Betsy's blog....she is also a feral cat person!
DeleteWhat a lovely selfless thing to do, Deb....
Spring? Yeah,baby!
I love the after shopping as there are such great bargains. Today I got a few things that were 70% off which will go away for gifts for next year. Still really cold here, working on a crochet blanket that is keeping me warm as I make it :)
ReplyDeleteGood score, Linda.....
DeleteRemember to show the blanket, when you are done!
Went to Homesense, on your advice, and got some lovely Christmas crackers for next year at the $4 bargain price :)
DeleteAwesome, Linda.....
DeleteVery nice buys...after holiday sales are the best time to find super great deals!
ReplyDeletewe had pork tenderloin tonight, too....yum!
I haven't taken down any Christmas stuff! Maybe tomorrow....ha.
I feel good about these....didn't spend a lot....but....will still look for more!
DeleteGet your a** in gear! young lady.....holidays are over! Hahaha!
Pork tenderloin is sooooo good!
Hard to pass up those sales and discounts, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteYes......so,I succumbed!
DeleteAnd.....it felt good!
Oh Linda...the master of after Christmas shopping. What wonderful finds. Those snowflake cookie cutters are cute enough to hang on the tree.
ReplyDeleteOh all that snow you and Betsy and Martha have....Yikes ~ makes me cold to just think of it.
Yes, I've found a few little Christmas goodies that I forgot to back away..
Love the "Cheer" napkins...those surely did have your name on them.. Lovely post..
Thanks Wanda....I thought those napkins were really cool!
ReplyDeleteI had fun taking pictures of my bargains...
Yes....we are buried in snow....and it is still coming!
You found some great things! You'll be all set for next year. Stay warm in that snow!
ReplyDeleteWill do, Jen!
Deleteooh, so many lovely things that you bought, dear, makes me sad they weren't a part of my Xmas present :))
ReplyDeleteI do love me kitchen things and those cutters are true delight! Did you miss DEZZY'S CHRISTMAS CAKE MAGIC this year? You have the link for it under DEZZY ON TOUR button at my place :)
Nice to see you, Dez!
DeleteWe've had similar days Linda! We took the tree and decs down and then swept and hoovered up needles for hours! We had a conversation about if it's time for an artificial tree, decided not yet! And then I shopped and came home with bargain Christmas gift wrap and crackers for next year! No snow here though just plenty of rain. X
ReplyDeleteHa Ha Ha.....you crack me up Jay!
DeleteI saw on the news, all the rain!
Stay dry!
