Thruout The Day Today......

            Well...

We got our fair share of the white stuff today...

Sure does look pretty the first time...

             Then...

                     The novelty wears off...hahaha!

               Did you get snow today??

Hope you are all having a great day...

Time for me to get busy in the kitchen...

Gonna put together some scalloped potatoes...

                      A peameal bacon roast...

                                And some zucchini....

A nice wintry kind of meal...

Whats going on in your kitchen??

                             Cheers!  :o)

  3. I agree, the snow looks great for a while but sadly the novelty wears off, lol, your supper sounds mighty fine, lol, we have that sometimes as well, tonight its spaghetti and meatballs and some of October farms blog honey butter buns,

  4. It looks the same here, overall a dull and dreary day. The novelty of the snow has already worn off!!! We had our meatloaf and mash potatoes and gravy ... yummy comfort food. I started planning out some dolly blankets and pillows I'm making for a bunk bed set we bought for granddaughter for Christmas. Hubby will put them together, I'll do the sewing :)

  5. Gorgeous photos once again, Linda. I really like the little stone house. It's been snowing all day today and it's a slushy mess out there. Had to drive different today..you know, more room between cars and not so heavy on the gas. I don't mind a few days of this but then the romance is over. Hope you have a nice, comfy evening. It's a good one to stay in and watch a movie. Hugs

  6. Your snow is so beautiful. Your photo's are just stunning. Your meal sounds so delicious for a cold night. This week I'm baking to send a goodie box to my grandson away at college in Illinois...in the snow...missing Southern CA. Banana breads, cookies, scones, and then a few snacks from the store...chips, candy, etc. Will get that mailed Wednesday. Making two pumpkin pies for the Thanksgiving Dinner at the Clubhouse Thurs. Sending hugs...stay warm.

  8. It was a cold wet snow. Giant flakes that stuck around much better a mile or so south of here. We got a covering and then it melted away. Not that I mind.

  12. We had snow too. So pretty. Your meal sounds pretty darn good, too.

I made homemade waffles and bacon for supper, with real local maple syrup. Love that stuff.

Have you had rabbit? Can't recall if I asked you already or not?

  13. The snow is so pretty! I would guess that it is just as you said, nice at first, and then......it's OH NO, not again!!! I loved your previous post too, about closing the cottage. I got a little teary eyed!!! I know how much you love it there, just like my Greg and I love our Big Bear.
Busy here...have jury duty this week...and other things, not so fun..like a bladder infection....ugh!!

Cooking nothing special, just some beet, parsley and potato soup, because I take beet at least once a week since it is so good for the blood

    2. Dinner was supposed to be chili mac but when I checked the meat I had defrosted I found it was meatloaf mixture and not just ground beef ... so meatloaf it was and delicious!! BBQ sauce on the top the last 20 minutes so it carmelizes. Perfect dinner for a cold, snowy, blowing night!
