Thruout The Day Today......
Well...
We got our fair share of the white stuff today...
Sure does look pretty the first time...
Then...
The novelty wears off...hahaha!
Did you get snow today??
Hope you are all having a great day...
Time for me to get busy in the kitchen...
Gonna put together some scalloped potatoes...
A peameal bacon roast...
And some zucchini....
A nice wintry kind of meal...
Whats going on in your kitchen??
Cheers! :o)

Oh my. Pretty indeed. But also bloomin' cold!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty......for a while!
DeleteBrrr! . . . . . too cold for me . . .
ReplyDeleteI like snow in photographs and you have captured some great shots.
Not a lot going on in my kitchen . . . other than the basics but I am still alive . . . lol
Your menu sounds interesting . . . :)
Hi Eddie...
DeleteYou wouldn't last long here in Canada!
Glad you are still alive! No posting for you.....
Interesting? Explain please.....
No I am a warm weather boy
DeleteI'll get round to another post soon
I am getting the video camera out to capture Peter doing his scuffle bottom manoeuvres which are hilarious.
And I will make some voice commentaries.
Your menu interesting ~ well it sounds very tasty I want to eat some . . . lol
ok...thought you thought it was weird or something!
DeleteVery delicious....like a ham...
Looking forward to seeing wee Peter in action!
I agree, the snow looks great for a while but sadly the novelty wears off, lol, your supper sounds mighty fine, lol, we have that sometimes as well, tonight its spaghetti and meatballs and some of October farms blog honey butter buns,
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmmm......butter buns♥️
DeleteIt looks the same here, overall a dull and dreary day. The novelty of the snow has already worn off!!! We had our meatloaf and mash potatoes and gravy ... yummy comfort food. I started planning out some dolly blankets and pillows I'm making for a bunk bed set we bought for granddaughter for Christmas. Hubby will put them together, I'll do the sewing :)
ReplyDeleteSame here....all slushy!
DeleteDinner sounds great.....grated carrot in the meatloaf?
Sounds like a really cute project....will we get yo see it?
Gorgeous photos once again, Linda. I really like the little stone house. It's been snowing all day today and it's a slushy mess out there. Had to drive different today..you know, more room between cars and not so heavy on the gas. I don't mind a few days of this but then the romance is over. Hope you have a nice, comfy evening. It's a good one to stay in and watch a movie. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI have had that wee house 4ever!
DeleteDo you watch Gotham?
Your snow is so beautiful. Your photo's are just stunning. Your meal sounds so delicious for a cold night. This week I'm baking to send a goodie box to my grandson away at college in Illinois...in the snow...missing Southern CA. Banana breads, cookies, scones, and then a few snacks from the store...chips, candy, etc. Will get that mailed Wednesday. Making two pumpkin pies for the Thanksgiving Dinner at the Clubhouse Thurs. Sending hugs...stay warm.
ReplyDeleteThanks Wanda....
DeleteYour grandson is very lucky♥️
No snow here, praise ye the lord!
ReplyDeleteHallelujah!
DeleteIt was a cold wet snow. Giant flakes that stuck around much better a mile or so south of here. We got a covering and then it melted away. Not that I mind.
ReplyDeleteYes....same here....almost all gone now.....supposed to be slick in the morning....icy roads....yikes!
DeleteYou got a thick wet snow like we did!
ReplyDeleteI pulled homemade soup and sweet bread out of the freezer...easy on the cook and very yummy!
I'm going to google your dinner...never heard of that peameal bacon roast unless you were making it.
Anything called bacon has got to be good! ha.
Love soup!
DeleteYou will love this...great for dinner...
and then sliced cold the next day for sandwiches...or...
fried with eggs and homefries!
Peameal bacon roast - YUM! Everything looks so pretty with its dusting of snow but I particularly love the bonnets on the pumpkins!
ReplyDeleteYes...me too!
DeleteAt least Red didn't bite right thru them.....
I guess they'll be mushy now. :o(
Novelty worn off already.
ReplyDeleteChili and baked potato tonight...comfort food!
Jane x
Yummy......
DeleteWe had snow too. So pretty. Your meal sounds pretty darn good, too.
ReplyDeleteI made homemade waffles and bacon for supper, with real local maple syrup. Love that stuff.
Have you had rabbit? Can't recall if I asked you already or not?
Nope.....no rabbit! Or duck......or veal.....
DeleteI'd try them all but the veal.
DeleteTO each their own, eh Ivy?
DeleteThe snow is so pretty! I would guess that it is just as you said, nice at first, and then......it's OH NO, not again!!! I loved your previous post too, about closing the cottage. I got a little teary eyed!!! I know how much you love it there, just like my Greg and I love our Big Bear.
ReplyDeleteBusy here...have jury duty this week...and other things, not so fun..like a bladder infection....ugh!!
xo Kris
Oh Kris....you have had a rough few weeks....hope you are on the mend♥️
DeleteChillsome!!!! In fact, I am cold just looking at these pictures!! xx
ReplyDeleteOh....sorry Amy.....hahaha!
DeleteLook away.....to the rain and fog!
ooh, first snow? We're still expecting the first one here, maybe next week, we still haven't head zero temps this year.
ReplyDeleteCooking nothing special, just some beet, parsley and potato soup, because I take beet at least once a week since it is so good for the blood
Hi Dez....
DeleteFirst snow is lovely,isn't it!
Today is our first day below zero.....brrrrr!
Your soup sounds interesting....are you a veg head?
I'm a world famous vegetarian actually :)
DeleteReally? Awesome!
DeleteYup we got hit with the white stuff on Sunday and stopped yesterday evening . It is pretty but today the temps are frigid and winds are a blowing BRR ! Thanks for sharing lovely photos , Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteI See Buffalo is getting whalloped! with Lake effect snow...
DeleteStay warm Elaine!
Beautiful photos and the one of the pumpkins is my favourite. Love it! It snowed yesterday then today it's mild and it's melting. Enjoy the day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam...they are all mushy now...:o(
DeleteMeatloaf for dinner followed by Nutella croissant bread pudding ... COLD and BLOWY outside ... good day to stay in to cook, quilt and read! Linda
ReplyDeleteThat is 2 meat loafs.....by 2 Linda's!
DeleteDo you put grated carrot in yours?
Just gonna put a couple of berry cakes in the oven....and do a new post!
Very cold here as well......
Dinner was supposed to be chili mac but when I checked the meat I had defrosted I found it was meatloaf mixture and not just ground beef ... so meatloaf it was and delicious!! BBQ sauce on the top the last 20 minutes so it carmelizes. Perfect dinner for a cold, snowy, blowing night!
DeleteSounds perfect, Linda!
DeleteWhat a very picturesque snowfall. Your yard looks lovely and everything looks wonderful with the dusting of snow. Too bad that it all wears thin so quickly!
ReplyDeleteI can just see the 2 of us.....sitting there....drinking tea.....eating cake and berries....watching Red....laughing.....crying.....ha!
DeleteHow gorgeous, Linda. A dusting of snow makes everything look beautiful. Snowed at Ottawa too, and I received a great photo of my two little grandsons standing in a sea of white. :))
ReplyDeleteYes....and we are getting more today.....are you visiting this year?
DeleteNo visiting this year, Linda - sadly. I'd love to be there at Christmas. However, we are hoping for May 2015.
DeleteHappy Snowtime!
It will be lovely in May!
