One Lonely Beautiful Bloom......♥️

Hope you are all having a great day...

Did a lot of running around...and did a BIG grocery shop...

Happy Thanksgiving to my American peeps...

Hope you are all stuffed to the gills! hahaha!

No turkey here...had our Thanksgiving in October...

                         Fresh Cod soaking in Buttermilk...

Soon to be smothered in Panko crumbs...

                         Accompanied by crispy seasoned fries...

                         Bok choy for the boyfriend...

                         Brussel Sprouts for me...

The house will be good and stinky!! hahaha!

Another dull drab day here again...

                          Snowing right now....

                          Sunshine is scheduled for tomorrow...

We will take a drive to the cottage...

Make sure those 100 km winds, didn't blow it over!

Enjoy the rest of your day...

                                     Cheers!   :o)

  7. I only had one bloom on one of the Christmas cactus, but I gave it a huge trim last year along with a transplant. Of the two smaller plants one had 3 or 4 blooms and the other just got a few buds. I'm hoping for a better show in the next round of blooms. Dull day here mostly clouds all day with the odd little snow flurry. Hope the cottage survived the windy weather of last week.

  9. I'm stuffed, to the gills, if I have any.
I'm praying the holidays (and other times too) get better, but not everyone has the same vision for friends and family that I have.
    *sigh*
With God's help I can learn to love and be welcoming in spite of those who make gatherings difficult.
    Thanks for being a friend.

  10. That's a gorgeous bloom. The colour looks so nice with all your 'whites'. Dinner sounds delicious again,Linda. I love fish. Enjoy your trip to the cottage. Sounds like you will have the same weather as us tomorrow. Looks like it will be +8 by Sunday. We have more going on at the property so we need the good weather. I'm picking out kitchen cupboards this weekend so it must be getting close to the end. *groan* Hugs

  12. I bought what I thought was a Christmas cactus and found out it is an Easter cactus. It blooms each spring with lovely yellow blossoms. It's hard to tell the two plants apart. They look very similar. Your cactus' bloom is beautiful. I used to have one that color, but it died. Time to get a new one.

Hope all is well at the cottage.

    1. Hi Kathy!
My mom had one at her winter Florida house, and they called it an Easter cactus!
I wonder if that is an American term, as hers bloomed at both times!
Mine usually bloom twice as well.....late Fall and Spring....
      Enjoy your weekend!

  13. Love your lonely bloom, but not so lonely because it's getting lots of attention in your lovely home. Hope you have a nice trip to and fro the cottage. My son and family are in from NY for American Thanksgiving and yesterday was so much fun when they arrived from the airport with the two little girls. Today they're visiting friends and then moving to my daughter's for a couple of days. The little five year old really loves Grandma's chocolate chip cookies! :) Have a nice weekend and keep warm...

  16. I LOVE this plant! What a perfect time for it to be blooming. This time of year we need all the colour we can get as it's pretty dull out there. Thankfully, all the Christmas lights are starting up out there and it's looking a lot cheerier! Happy Saturday (and rest of the weekend) to you!

  17. Your Christmas Cactus is lovely! I had one that color several years ago! I can't seem to keep them alive for more than a couple of years but they do manage to jump into my cart when I'm out shopping. ha. Maybe I'll try again this year.
